My ode to Islamophobia

This guy doesn't mince words or spout PC bollocks like the Spruce Goose. He is a former member of the Saudi Shura Council.

to paraphrase are you saying that. Islam is cancer? :)

He's thinking more along the lines of 'Islam needs a reformation', me thinks.

Seems obvious enough. We can sit here all day and talk about our anecdotal experiences with Muslims, but it won't mitigate the uncomfortable fact that there's a problem within Islam.

Or within the Muslim community---or however you want to say it.

zzzzz

The extremists WANT us to see it as a problem with Islam.

Just know that if that's how you see it, you're really complying w/ their wishes.

A form of psyops. I think if more people read what you wrote twice it will make a lot of sense. Nice job!

enlightenment, reformation..something.
When the fastest growing sect of Sunni Islam is salafist - a throwback against any modernity after Mohammad ,
it becomes out of touch with the modern world, and Islam dooms itself to valuing rote repetition.

yeppers. Not all of Islam, and not for the good people struggling against the jihadi, but there is a cancer in Islam

There is nothing wrong with Islam, anymore than there is anything wrong with Christianity or Hinduism.

This is not a religious problem. It is a political problem, instigated by a few thousand extremists who have political and ideological goals.

All the worlds problems comes down to money, politics, and resources. "Religion" is just the shroud behind which political and financial goals hides.

Frankly, there are too many on this board that either practice Islamophobia, or provide it safe harbor. And what that means in practical terms, is there are many message boarders who de-humanize Muslims.

I believe my thoughts and views on this carry greater weight and integrity. I am not afraid to say what I believe about Muslims or about Islam either on a keyboard, or talking to people in public. In contrast, Islamophobes and their enablers generally only have the courage to de-humanize Muslims from the safety of a keyboard. Take this Tuske troll loser for example. Out in public, they typically keep their Islamophobia hidden from public view. A person who does that, either has a very weak argument or they lack integrity and courage.

Salafism the fastest growing movement in Islam and its likely impact on humanity

The people of my own generation are the best, then those who come after them, and then those of the next generation,"
by Prophet in Hadith is seen as a call to Muslims to
follow the example of those first three generations, known collectively as the salaf or "pious Predecessors"
(as-Salaf as-Saleh).
Salafism has become associated with literalist, strict and puritanical approaches to Islam
