It doesn't matter with gender, age, religion, political leaning, etc. The only one that does matter is mental status, as they need to regulate that. The right that hates spending, would rather spend money arming teachers. won't change much, besides the amount of children going to school, and the amount of people willing to be teachers. They have shit pay, benefits, and suddenly it's their job to be a western gunslinger. The guard hid because his gun doesn't protect much from an ar-15.

do you expect us 2nd Amendment purists to recognize and accept YOUR definition of reasonable? Because, personally, I think most of the anti-gun peoples definition of reasonable is completely unreasonable.

As far as the NRA goes, the last time that the Democrats went against the NRA, they lost control of congress, so by all means........do what you gotta do but don't be surprised if you stay out of power for years to come.

The "reasonable safeguards," proposed by the DNC was a blanket ban on all semi auto rifles and pistols which constitute the vast majority of firearms in this country.

the federal government has no power to regulate what teachers earn. please learn about ISDs and how they operate before posting about your 'feels' and emotions. And the guard hid because he's a fucking coward hiding behind his department. A handgun is just as dangerous as a rifle, and I know this from experience. not the media.

Keep in ind that the NRA represents far less that half of this country and the majority of voters want something done- NOW!
I am sure that all you want are more and more guns in everyones hands. Didnt the recent situation, I believe in Georgia, convince you that arming teachers is dangerous?

and the problem with that is that those majority of voters are completely unorganized, whereas the NRA can hand a list of 5 million people to any politician and say 'these are votes you won't get'. it's very persuasive.

I was referring to the armed teacher who decided to shoot off his gun, in school, for no apparent reason. Surely you read this story!

yeah, and the circumstances being reported about that lead me to believe two things......

IF this was an actual teacher gone nutso, no law would have made a difference to stop it and if you believe that this is why teachers shouldn't have guns in classrooms, we need to disband public education altogether since all teachers cannot be trusted in gun free zones.

IF, as I suspect it to be, that this was the act of an anti-gun idiot (being that he locked students out of the class and ONLY fired a single shot) then this is just a false flag op by a moron who will no doubt sway the rest of the morons to not arm teachers thus leaving students just as vulnerable as they were before.

This is a prefect example of why more guns are never going to be an answer to anything.

That case was proof positive that teachers can not be trusted with these children, it is time to pass legislation to immediately dissolve the public education system, if you are opposed then you clearly want to see more children murdered.
