No, but some different people were inspired to vote this time.

I see. So all the racists and sexists who voted for Trump stayed home but the non racists and non sexists who stayed home and didn't vote for Hillary decided to come out last night?

Don't forget the Republican still got a lot of votes, so some Rumppers showed up also, just not as many.

Lamb is on board with much of Trump's agenda. Dems want moderate, not far left fringe. Trump has set the example of what Dems and Pubs want as far as leadership.

and yet... Rump went out against him practically begging the people to vote for the Republican.

Why would so many non racists and sexists have stayed home for Hillary but come out last night?

Decades of attacks on HRC and millions spent on destroying her had an effect, that plus many believed she would win.

But aren't they smart enough to see past false right wing attacks and know she was one or the most qualified candidates ever (or how could others see past it and they couldn't)?

Again, I specifically ask you as I have asked others. What about this election was ABOUT Trump?

EVERYTHING!

Can you point to any of Lamb's anti Trump statements?

Nope...and that doesn't matter one bit. It was about Donald Trump...and the Republican Party.

He was asked about it during his interview on Morning Underwood this AM on PMSNBC and he shied away from it. In fact he even said "Trump is very popular in my district". So show me with real objective evidence how this election was ABOUT Trump. Not just liberal fairy tales. Objective facts

Yeah...that's why you are in such a snit.

Gimme a break.

This, and the others, were about Donald Trump. I AM heartened to know that even people in areas that voted for Trump see him as an insult to our nation.

I know you really want it to be. And it may very well be. I just haven't seen any facts other than you claiming it to be so

I understand. Really I do.

Just continue to keep your eyes tightly shut...and your mind as well...and you will never see any of those things.

Not only that, but it shows that a lot of people who voted for Trump in '16 are having buyer's remorse.

They understand now that they allowed themselves to be duped into helping elect the most unqualified and unfit for office clown in the history of this country and that the only way to rectify their mistake and hopefully reign him in, is by giving power back to his opposition.

They also realize that the Republicans will do nothing but bow before him and kiss his ring.

Among other things.

If that kind of buyer's remorse could exist in a small, highly pro-Trump district, imagine what can be out there nationally.

PRECISELY!

Right on the money, Nomad.

I'm kind of surprised we didn't get an early a.m. tweetstorm about what a loser this GOP candidate was and how he failed to fully embrace Trump or something.

Maybe Trump is maturing?

Probably too drunk and depressed or stuffed with fried chicken and cheeseburgers to muster the energy.

Maturing? Never.

What did it say about Trump?

What did it say about the midterms?

Not sure if you were paying attention, but I watched Lamb be interviewed on PMSNBC Morning Underwood this AM and he was as vanilla as you can get. He even said the "Trump is still wildly popular" in the district.

I don't recall Lamb running a virulent anti Trump campaign. I looked at his website and he appears to be in step with many of Trump's agenda items.

So what exactly does it say? Can you articulate it other than to claim "Dems are going to have a landslide" in November?

What I take away from this election is that liberalism is on the retreat in many parts of this country. That the only way the democrat party can win in many places in this country is to nominate a candidate who sounds like a Republican (pro life, pro gun, pro family etc). What I take away is that the Bernie Sanders wing of your party which dominates your party at a national level wouldn't have had a chance in this race.

You seem content to deal only with the superficial and unable to dig deeper. Maybe you are incapable? Maybe you are afraid?

I remember when lib'ruls didn't like moderate to conservative democrats getting elected......they called them blue dogs and treated them like dogs.......

I suppose it will be possible for the demmycrats to bring on a landslide in November.....if they replace their current office holders with conservatives.......

I don't have to think back too far to when you guys didn't like "RINO's". I think one poster just referenced earlier in this thread about how Congressional Republicans are mostly under that category.

But conservatism is winning.
