may 10 2018 Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney on Thursday referred to Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., as "Songbird John" and said torture worked on the former POW.

McInerney, during an interview on Fox Business Network, was slamming McCain's refusal to support CIA director nominee Gina Haspel over her past work at the agency involving enhanced interrogation techniques that are considered torture.

"The fact is, is John McCain — it worked on John. That's why they call him 'Songbird John,'" McInerney said.

"The fact is those methods can work, and they are effective, as former Vice President Cheney said. And if we have to use them to save a million American lives, we will do whatever we have to," he continued.

You can always find a person that is nuts to say what you want to hear. The rightys did that with Kerry who was a real marine warrior. They found some guys who would dispute his fighting and they ran them all over Fox Gnus type shows. It does not change the facts, but it easily fools the rightys. They want to be fooled. No question mccain is a traitor as is anyone who supports illegal aliens. An argument can be made for LEGAL immigration (though i oppose 99% of that too). But there is no way to support illegal aliens and any repub who does is accepting bribes from corporate american and/or mexico. THINK

I don't blame mccain for cracking under torture. We all would. But doing so does NOT make him a hero like the press always portrays him. They love him because he's a rino who always supports illegal aliens just like they do.
