The Whitewashing Of Naomi Osaka

BAC, you have argued before the behavior/actions of the person in office doesnt matter. It's all about policy.

You told me you like women better than me because you vote Democratic, that it doesn't matter how we treat women in our lives. Voting Democratic is more important.

So it stands to reason if someome likes Trump's tax policy or judges then it doesn't matter if Trump is a racist or anything else because as you said, policy trumps all (no pun intended). So one can dislike his racial views but support his policy in your scenario.

He doesn't have a policy, he's a weather vane.

The whole thread is just an excuse to bash her because she's a successful black celebrity/athlete.

Bullshit.

There are tons of Black athletes who don't get bashed. Only a racist liberal pig would come up with such crap.

She didn't handle this match well, at all...It is what it is....She probably should at least take a break...

Have you considered becoming a life coach? You have all the answers about what Serena, Kaep, Stephanie Wilkinson, Hillary Clinton et al. should do to improve their lives. Might as well cash in on it.

I believe all the adultery stories about Bill. His governor secret service detail used to hook him up.
I also believe he and Hillary had a tacit "understanding" It was that he could do whatever the fuck he wanted as long as
he didn't humiliate her, shove it in her face, or get caught.

And then when that happened, she just stuck with him. Never had any respect for her after that and never understood how she's a role model being such a doormat.

Sometimes people try to save their marriage and I don't fault her for that. They went to counseling and she still could have decided to leave him after that if she didn't think it would be worth it in the end. Nobody really knows a marriage except the people in it.

I guess you don't respect Melania either for sticking with trump. At least Hillary's not a gold digger.

Another lie promulgated by the Fake news media :palm:

Yet trump didn't deny he said it. This was back in the late '80s-early '90s, were you carrying his water that long ago?

"O’Donnell wrote that Trump once said, in reference to a black accountant at Trump Plaza, “laziness is a trait in blacks.” He also told O’Donnell: “Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.”
Trump called O’Donnell a disgruntled employee but he didn’t deny allegations made in the book during an interview with Playboy magazine in 1999:

“Nobody has had worse things written about them than me,” Trump says. “And here I am. The stuff O’Donnell wrote about me is probably true. The guy’s a fucking loser. A fucking loser. I brought the guy in to work for me; it turns out he didn’t know that much about what he was doing. I think I met the guy two or three times total. And this guy goes off and writes a book about me, like he knows me!”

No, that is correct, I don't have any more respect for her than I do for Hillary

What Serena doesn't get, well yet anyway, is that people are not going to first remember her to be the great tennis player that she truly is, NO!

After her tantrum on court, she will be remembered first for that!

I'm sure Mcenroe will agree with me. He was also great, but his tantrums are the things that first comes to mind about him!

I get what you're saying but for me, personally, racism is the worst. It's because people are hated for something they have no control over and racists make up all kinds of excuses and justifications that yes, "science" has proven that whites are smarter than blacks, or dreck like that.

I don't excuse Clinton's philandering, or John Edwards' or JFK's or Thomas Jefferson's, etc. But I can understand- not accept, just understand- their excuses more than the excuses of racists. Racism is just illogical no matter how you slice it.

I get this. Adultery is a chosen behavior. No one chooses their race. One choice we *all* have though is whether to continue to give our support to leaders who engage in behaviors we find detestable. I chose not to support them -- whether it's Clinton's adultery back in the day, or Trump's life-long and well-documented racism.

I'm not married, but I've been in enough relationships to know not to judge other relationships.
You don't know what people are thinking, and it's none of your business either

Well I am, and I think she's pretty damn good looking. I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but honestly I think you're just falling into the common cognitive fallacy whereby celebrities are held to a much much higher standard of beauty due to their being largely unattainable. She might not be playboy cover model material, but if she came up to you in the bar I have little doubt you'd jump at the opportunity.

Not that looks alone are as relevant as you and others see it, especially pertaining to this discussion in particular....but it had to be said.

Since we are dealing in opinions, let's take another look at the first photo in this thread. My opinion is that neither is particularly appealing, having just come off the courts. In other images and video of Serena, we can see that professional makeup artists, photographers, and lighting technicians can work wonders.

Huffpo is a Leftwing propaganda site, not a legitimate source. I never click on their Ad Loaded site.

Post the relevant part of the 1999 Playboy interview here with an unbiased link, preferably from playboy's site, ... for all to see.

Wrong Rachel Dolezal and Michael Jackson both chose their races.

And wrong again. Adultery can be a hard wired instinct.
