I was a bit surprised, as you don't strike me as being that susceptible to stereotypes. And yeah to that about tone. One can say the same words, same phrase, in so many different ways, and convey such different meanings. In the written form that is lost.

I have no idea which way they will lean if they even vote. Yesterday is a prime example of hispanics overpolling/underperforming. I am not the one who thinks this will turn Florida blue. You are. I was just asking for the basis of your opinion. So far it seems to be a combination of hope and stereotyping blacks as democrats and felons.

I have read that it will mostly benefit older people with old convictions. Since those people already are likely to be beyond the 5 years at which point they could have been restored anyway, I think people overestimate the effects.

The fact that Democrats won control of the House shows how silly the claim is that Republican gerrymandering, cheating, or suppression is what keeps Democrats from winning the House. All they had to do was get up and vote and quit whining; and they won control with a turnout of only 49% of eligible voters.

If we had won even a couple of percentage points less we would have lost the house despite winning overwhelmingly in the true vote. The system is rigged. We overcame their rigging, don't be a little bitch and stay silent about it.
