Michelle Obama used IVF to conceive girls

WTF, idiot. Are you trying to turn this forum into the National Enquirer? Old lady gossip. Nobody cares.

Leaving aside the fact that this story made national news yesterday as Michelle wrote about it in her soon to be released book, you must be new to this site if you ask that question. Start a thread on a subject like homelessness and you'll get one or two responses. Start a thread on Trump's fake tanning and you can get a couple hundred responses.

Women are not 6 feet tall and 180 pounds and not fat. Moooch is a man and everybody knows it. The racist white-hating press covers up the fact because she is black.

What a piece of scum you are.

Take that as a compliment...sorta like me saying, "You are the perfect Trump supporter type."

Dude if Michelle were a trannie why wouldn't Obama just go ahead and reveal it to her tons of social justice points? Why would there be a huge conspiracy around it that would have to go back to her parents and her childhood and her entire life just to find a trannie partner for Obama?

I've known several couples who have used it. It's a medical scam and unnecessary in most cases. Woman on the pill think they can turn fertility on and off like a light bulb; they can't. It takes about two years to undo the effects of years of hormone manipulation.

My advice to a couple in this situation? Save your money and have lots of sex...

Please do not lecture other couples about what they had to do to ensure fertility. It's between them and their doctor.

Some friends of mine used that method because they had trouble conceiving naturally and the mom's window was shutting. There was no known reason. He was fertile and she was fertile and they were trying like mad to make it happen. It was quite expensive. It cost them around $30K but that was over a decade ago so not sure if it is cheaper or more expensive than today. I recall him saying the shot they had to give her in conjunction with the implanting their embryo alone was $5K, so if it didn't work they might not be able to afford a second attempt. Offered to let them use my credit card if it didn't, but thank god it did because I didn't really want them using my credit card. I was just being polite.

Talked to a man I know professionally recently who has a new born and they did it too but with a donor embryo so I assumed he was the one with the fertility issue. I don't know him well enough to feel comfortable asking.

I insurance doesn't cover this? I feel like it should, with some basic checks to ensure actual infertility. It is a medical condition.

My understanding from my friend was that insurance covered some things but not all things. IIRC an example he gave was that insurance covered the needle and the administration but didn't cover the drugs his wife got the day of the implant. For them, there was no infertility. They just couldn't conceive naturally together. I always wondered if it had to do with them both being very obese at the time.

For the other guy, I don't know. Like I said, I don't know him well enough to deep dive into the details of his personal life. I just know he has a newborn, it was done with a donor embryo, and their first child was adopted. He is super high strung/hyper. First time I met him he was about to have a stroke because he had locked their baby in the car with the engine running and it took 15 minutes for the locksmith to get there. After 5 minutes he was running around looking for something to smash the window with. Told him the baby wasn't in distress but if he started crushing out windows with rocks or whatever, that baby was going to freak so just chill and wait.
