The question is whether it would stand up in court. Looking at the whole ball of wax [especially, no underlying crime] the prospect of an obstruction charge against Trump resulting in a conviction lands solidly in the ‘iffy’ category.
If you’re in Mullet’s shoes do you want to stick a weak indictment on Trump? Prosecutors shy away from weak indictments because they like to go to court with a strong hand. Mullet, imo, wanted to indict Trump but there was too much exculpatory evidence and not enough incriminating evidence. The lefties only see the incriminating evidence and lose sight of the fact Trump turned over every document requested and even gave up his executive privilege.
A jury would consider the whole ball of wax. But Mullet plays for the Resistance so he did the best he could under the circumstances and left them a ‘pathway’ to obstruction. And hopefully, impeachment.

Since the report is in the public domain what do you need Barr for? If obstruction is such a slam dunk, democrats should move immediately to impeach Trump just by citing what’s in Mullet’s report. It’s all in the report.

If Mullet knew early on there was nothing to collusion then he wasted a lot of time trying to build an obstruction case out of not much. It was apparent from the indictments [none of them mentioned a Russian conspiracy] that Mullet was coming up empty on his primary mission. If Trump really conspired with the Russians we would have known it just by the indictments handed out to Manafort and Papadopoulos. But none of them mentioned collusion. Manafort was way out in left field, in fact.
And if Flynn doesn’t get a pardon I’ll be disappointed.
