South Korea was attacked by North Korean forces. Although South Korea held no real strategic interest. US policymakers didn't want to appear soft on communism because of the cold war. And the rest is history. No lies there. I'm not going to debate the Gulf wars as you nor any other anti-war types will not accept any facts that are in conflict with your beliefs.
