The Repubs have TALKED about cutting the debt, while they governed the opposite when they had power. They have cranked up the debt with tax cuts and increased spending. They want a huge debt so they can justify cutting all social programs. Yet rightys still claim the mantle of fiscal conservatism. Only rightys cannot see through that.
Medicare pays 80 percent. If you get real sick, that 20 percent can break you. Medicare sents you letters telling you when you are eligible for new programs. They encourage you to do preventative medicine.
Despite the scare stories, I have never had trouble getting a doctor.
He was & still is a republican-you can discount because he may not kowtow the same as you, but really you just don't like what he said-which is true, if you agree or not is irrelevant.. You heard the truth, do w/ it as you wish............

What "crisis"? OK, first, reform our drug laws, which accomplish nothing, except to fund violent criminal gangs. Treat drug addiction as a social issue instead of a criminal issue. Second, go after employers who hire illegals. Yes, that includes Trump. Third, we need some viable foreign policy to deal with shithole banana republics. Trim back the unrestrained capitalism that creates those conditions so people don't flee them looking for a better life.
