Bernie Sanders finally admits artificial wage hikes kill jobs

He was paying salaries, not hourly. He dropped their hours to align them with an EQUIVALENT of about $15/hr. The article doesn't say ANYBODY got laid off. But that’s what the article portrayed.

And the JPP RW idiots chime in about time and a half. Massive ignorance.

We are comparing the hours worked at a salary to what the same number of hours worked comes out to for the same amount of money. It's $9.89/per hour if they worked 60hrs per week. This means, I coulod have paid someone $9.89/hr and worked them 60 hours per week and it would have cost me 36K

I wish I could understand your point. Do you think I'm wrong?

Home>wages>Overtime Pay. (Your reference)

See that part about WAGES, you stupid fuck? What I’ve been trying to tell you is that his people are not waged employees. They are SALARIED. Are you really that stupid or is it just an act?

Which part of this simple sentence do you fail to understand?

“But capitalism abhors a vacuum, so over time, more and more low-paid workers found themselves in the category of being salaried and ineligible for overtime.

Domer must be a student. Nobody who's worked in their lifetime could be so clueless

You’re so fucking stupid that all my dumbed down explanations regarding WAGES vs SALARIES is just too fucking complicated for you.

How the fuck does someone of your massive stupidity and ignorance make it through the day? :rofl2:

“You math is way wrong. anything over 40 hrs is time and a half.:rofl2:

Where does the article indicate the government had to subsidize the workers?

So employers won't have to pay a $15 minimum wage if Sanders is elected if they simply put their employees on a salary?

The subsidy for workers thing comes from all those posters who claim Wal-Mart and similar employers are requiring government subsidies for workers because of low wages.

Stupid fuck, that’s not what the OP is about. It’s making the distortion that he is decreasing their hours so that he can pay them less. That’s a lie. He is paying them THE SAME. And there’s no indication that anybody is getting laid off.

Fucking moron.

Your first sentence is babble.

The second is, too. This topic is not about Walmart people. It’s about Sanders’ people and nothing was said about them being subsidized.

But, if you insist. A WAGED Walmart employee at $15/hr and a full work week makes $31,200 a year. How many do you really think makes that?

It is not babble. You are claiming that because the staff is on a salary it doesn't matter if their pay is only equivalent to $12 hour.

They only have to work 40 hours for that $31,200 a year---not 60 hours.

"Walmart said it has raised its starting wages in the United States by more than 50% over the past three years. Including benefits and bonuses, the average wage for a full-time, hourly worker at Walmart is $14.26 an hour"

There it is folks. Just another routine ass kicking of the willfully ignorant RW morons. They came out in droves this time for their collective humiliation.

You're so smart and educated, yet you couldn't spell "Arminius" even though his username was right there where you could see it.

Stupid pathetic asswipe. :rofl2:

First of all, exempt employees have to meet certain criteria. Your average Walmart or other retail position won’t. So, your salary hypothetical fails. Babble.

You misconstrue my argument. The OP is trying to make the false claim that he is cutting hours to pay less to his employees. He is PAYING THE SAME.

“The average for a full time hourly worker is $14.26 an hour.” Still not that $15, is it? Know how many are NOT full time at Walmart? HALF. That means they receive less pay and benefits. So much for that $15/hr average, huh?
