He did.You gave no protection back.
If he does indeed work the SOCAL sector, I don't think you have ANY idea what a wormy convoluted bunch of airspace that is! My hat's off to ATC at SOCAL!You had the same job as an ATC at LAX.
No, but he brought 'em home safely, and was a major factor in giving 'em the air support they needed.Slow your roll, homie. It's not like you were Rambo, parachuting into Communist countries to free POWs. It's not like you were on SEAL Team 6 when they took out Osama bin Laden. It's not like you were landing at the beaches of Iwo Jima, or flying missions over North Vietnam in an F-4. It's not even like you were in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Perhaps, but he sure as hell supported those that did. I have no doubt that he knows how to use his gun.No, you were an over-glorified support staff member who never once discharged his weapon in combat.
I do not know what branch of service he was in. Makes no difference. All branches of the military are on the same team. You just want people to think because you were in the Marines that you were "in" the Marines.
No man is a Rambo in the military (or if they are, they don't last long!). EVERYTHING, from the front lines to the medical units patching 'em up behind the lines, to the air support, to those who support that air support (like SmarterthanYou did), to repairing trucks and aircraft, to shelling a port from some ship at sea to prepare it for others to go in on foot and capture it, to spies, to dragging a tank out of the muck so it can got out and do its job...ALL of it is a team effort. NO man stands alone in the military, not even the commander.
Didn't the British do that once? How well did it work out for them?
