"Elizabeth Warren 'has a plan for that,' but at what cost to taxpayers?

The United States government does not have the federal funding to support 2020 presidential hopeful Sen. Elizabeth Warren's grand policy plans, said MSNBC's Joe Scarborough Tuesday.

"There is not enough money for a country that’s $23 trillion in debt to pay for one-tenth of what she’s proposing," he said on "Morning Joe."

Scarborough criticized Warren, D-Mass., for making promises she couldn't keep and for not adopting a more reasonable, focused approach with her proposals.

We just gave the rich and their corporations a $2.5T tax cut that they didn't use to raise wages or improve the economy, so maybe we start there.

M4A establishes a flat 4% tax on income for individuals.

Are you talking about the elderly? They already have Medicare.

Are you talking about the disabled? They too have Medicare and SSDI.

Are you talking about kids? Well, they have S-CHIP already and can't legally work.

Are you talking about undocumented migrants? Well, they stole your job and are paying taxes on that income already.

According to the Social Security Administration’s requirements for entitlement for Medicare, they must be 65 years old, a U.S. resident and either a citizen or a lawful permanent resident who has lived in the country continuously for the five years immediately preceding the month all other requirements are met.

Medicare for all could make an illegal (non-citizen) eligible with no restrictions and a 65 year old illegal (non-citizen) could come here illegally at age 65 and have Medicare coverage for the rest of his or her life without paying a dime into the system.

A financial disaster of Smithsonian proportions.

Besides, illegals (non-citizens) are not even supposed to be in our country. Rewarding their illegality is lunacy.

If it's funded by taxes, how is it spending us into oblivion?

Would you rather pay $7,100 for health care, or $2,440?
 
We have medicare because the health insurance companies refused to cover the expensive demographic. The old were left adrift.
The fix is universal healthcare eliminating Medicare, Medicaid, and the VA. Those 3 would finance it. It also takes the cost and managing of healthcare off the backs of companies. That makes them more competitive internationally.
