Conservative posters do not have a coherent, consistent, or principled political philosophy.

Their interest in national politics is wrapped up in resentment and vindictiveness.

Don't take my word for it. There are plenty of posts here from Trump boot-lickers transparently stating their vote for Trump was simply predicated on hatred for Hillary, or on a perception that it would make Evince and Jarod feel sad if Trump won.

The last time I actually remember a message board conservatives passionately and consistently arguing on behalf of a tangible policy is when they were hollering at me that invading Iraq was going to be a totally awesome idea.
