There Supreme court just blew up the impeachments Obstruction of Congress case today. How you say? They agreed to review the validity of the subpoena that Congress gave Trump over his financial records. That means the way to resolve deputes between Congress and the Executive branch about Congressional subpoena's should be resolved in the court. Congress says Trump obstructed Congress when he claimed executive privilege but the court just proved that subpoena needs to be upheld by the court before Trump has to obey it.

Trump lost these cases in lower courts. he is simply saying he is above the law. You agree. They were settled in courts. trump still refused.

Trump is exercising his right to appeal to the SCOTUS. If they agree with congress then he must comply. As to your other point only two other presidents have been impeached and neither of those subpoenaed aides in the numbers this impeachment has. This just shows this has been a kangaroo court from day 1.

That is a lie. Obama gave Eric Holder Executive Privilege for Fast a Furious documents. No one Impeached him for it. But you missed the nuance here. The SC is deciding on a subpoena dispute between the Legislative Branch and the Executive Branch. That is EXACTLY how it is supposed to work. The House should have taken the subpoena disagreement with the Executive branch to court. This SCOTUS case just blew up the whole he ignored our subpoena so we are justified in impeaching him. Now if Trump ignored the subpoena AFTER it was adjudicated in court then impeachment would be indicated.

Think about it. The next time we have a Democrat President ,many many years from now, a Republican House could subpoena every transcript of every conversation with every foreign leader and give a 2 day timeline for execution of that subpoena. When the Democrat president exerted Executive Privilege they could just impeach the president. The disputes between the Executive Branch and the Legislative Branch are to be resolved by the Judaical Branch.
