I never made an excuse for Trump. I said Clinton is an example of why the accused should not testify. I was also questioning Politalker's description of Clinton as being a leader for testifying since he only did so after getting caught.

C-SPAN is now showing the Clinton impeachment and former AR senator Dale Bumper was defending Clinton and making the point that we all make mistakes. He told a story of an evangelist who was preaching that nobody is perfect but Jesus. He asked his congregation if any of them had known anybody perfect. One little man raised his hand. The preacher said "stand up and tell us who is perfect." The man said "my wife's first husband."

I am saying what everybody already knows---the accused should not testify (even though it is not a criminal trial). Do you think being under oath would stop Trump from lying?

He doesn't have to lie--he would just give the justifications he has already made and repeated by the Republicans. The real issue is intent which is hard to prove.
 
The Democrats are guilty of malicious investigation, looking for dirt. Nothing more, nothing less. Bolton has no evidence of quid pro quo. If he does, he can tell the press.

He never *has* to lie; it comes as natural to him as breathing does to the rest of us.

There you go. His only concern is for himself. Dedication to nation, truth or others is of no consequence. He feels no obligation to act as a leader, nor to explain himself to the concerns of the people.

He is not made of the same cloth as Bill Clinton, a man who spoke to the nation under oath when accused.

I am on the side of a United States made strong by the depth of her diversity of viewpoints. For we cannot have a left without a right. A boat with only one oar can only be rowed in circles. Those are the circles the USA are stuck in for as long as our politics remain bitterly polarized.

I personally know people who have completely changed after watching Fox for a couple of years

they have been obviously brainwashed

WATCH it when a news story is breaking


click back and forth to the other stations andsee the difference

I have seen them go completely BLACK SCREEN to avoid showing what the other stations are showing live

and then go to the talking heads instead of showing the Young articulate Black kid tell you why he is against guns after he was a victim at parkland


a great big handsome young man who would impress the socks off anyone listening to him

Fox went black screen

for a full 5 or 6 seconds before they could get their house shot up

I agree Fox news is bad, but I do not believe the best course of action in countering that is hatred.

Hatred is an emotion. Emotions rarely produce logical results.

We need something more effective than getting angry.

Many of a political view believe that their side is so correct that the nation would be at her best if the other side simply vanished, ceased to exist.

But they can't figure out how that could be possible without thought control.

A free nation cannot limit views. It's a basic impasse for which emotion has no answer.

And that is why an emotion-only response is useless.

Each side must learn to recognize and work with the other, actually appreciate the other. When that is achieved, we are at our best. We may have our differences but they must be with respect. The best case is that our arguments for one side or the other are judged on the basis of their own merit, not out of disdain for the other side.

We cannot have a positively charged nation built of negatively charged particles.
 
Emotion is why man grew a larger brain


as man evolved he needed a pack like structure to continue to exist

the human emotions developed as a cementing of that mutual bond we needed to exist


we grew minds capable of dealing with complex emotions hand in hand with growing minds to manipulate our surrounding world


its as human to have emotions as it is to be intelligent


EMOTIONS ARE OUR STOP GAP to JUST KILLING EACH OTHER
