Why is it the Bush Mortgage Bubble? Because Bush created it.

now he pretends resugulators are to blame for clear banker duplicity.

The regulators were the ones who were supposed to protect us from the duplicity. Instead, they backed off to allow the duplicity to happen.

So the question is, why did Bush's regulators back off from the duplicity starting in 2004?

You are the one blaming FDR for Bush's actions 70 years after FDR died and 10 years after the first subprime mortgage was ever issued.

Now that is simplistic stupidity that is incredibly fucking lazy.

Didn’t say that at all. Only a simple thinker like you would infer that

Didn’t say that at all. Only a simple thinker like you would infer that

That is exactly what you said.

In trying to socialize the blame for actions taken by the Bush Administration, you go back 70 years to blame FDR for federal housing policy.

As if the ghost of FDR is able to Jedi mind trick the Bush Administration into creating and inflating a housing bubble nearly 60 years after FDR died.

And it wasn't even federally-backed loans that caused the crisis...it was privately-backed subprime loans that GSE's were prohibited from buying thanks to Clinton, only to see Bush reverse that rule 3 years after Clinton left office.

This is what I mean when I say you are in way over your head.

Now comes the part where you whine like a little bitch about how perfect Democrats are.

So proceed, little bitch.

Right, but Bush and the Conservatives were the ones driving all of this, and the reason is because from 2001-2003, economic growth was pathetic, the tax cuts didn't deliver on their promises, yet Bush was up for re-election and if the economy was going to continue to grow anemically as it did from 2001-2003, then Bush would lose.

So Bush took the steps necessary to inflate a housing bubble so that the economy would look like it was growing because of the tax cuts when it was really growing because of debt.

Bush even campaigned on that message in 2004:

Bush Ties Policy to Record Home Ownership
March 26th, 2004
Touting his tax cuts as the economy's savior — and pointing to the strong housing market as proof — Bush said "more people own their own home now than ever." More than 50 percent of minorities owned their own homes in the last three months of 2003 for the first time ever, the president said.

dems are just as corrupt. im not a republican. im a temporary trump supporter and I have issues with him.

im a disloyal populist whore.

No, you don't get to bOtHsIdEs here. That's lazy.

I've laid out an air-tight case for who is to blame for the mortgage crisis, and you need to come to terms with it.

So when faced with mounting evidence of the guilt of the Bush Adminstration's actions to create and inflate a mortgage bubble, your immediate instinct is to BoThSiDeS.

How come? How come you feel compelled to BoThSiDeS when the evidence is overwhelming that just one side is to blame?

I'll tell you exactly why; if you were forced to reconcile the truth of what I've posted, you could no longer portray yourself as some sort of sagely, above-it-all, non-partisan deep thinker because you'd be forced to conclude that blame for the mortgage crisis can't be socialized, which would mean that there is no equivalence to be made, which would mean you'd have to actually come down on a side after a sober reading of the truth.

So the reason you BoThSiDeS is because you're too afraid to confront the fact that your instincts and judgment aren't all they're cracked up to be, and that you have a lot to learn.

the bankers are to blame.

would you not blame a bank robber because police let him get away?

you're a cretin. you're roundly defeated.

the bankers are to blame.

The bankers weren't the ones who dramatically weakened the enforcement of lending standards in 2004.

It was Bush's regulators who did that.

Now, if you're going to say that Conservatives deliberately put bankers in positions of power within our government to benefit themselves, then I'd agree with you. But that would also mean you'd have to have Conservatives accept the blame for the mortgage crisis since they're the ones who picked those bankers for those vital positions.

So no matter how you swing it, you still need to blame Bush and the Conservatives for creating and inflating a mortgage bubble to cover for the failure of their tax cuts to deliver on any of the promises made of them.

Promises they again repeated at the end of 2017 to justify their latest shitty tax cut.

my response is "neither of the sides", the bankers are to blame.

you have alot of brainwash to undo, and bad karma to ungunch.

would you not blame a bank robber because police let him get away?

They didn't let him get away, they conspired with him to rob the bank, and they did that by weakening the enforcement of lending standards for subprimes in 2004, like I've been saying this whole time.

my response is "neither of the sides", the bankers are to blame.

The bankers couldn't have issued the garbage subprime loans without the Bush Administration's regulators ceasing the enforcement of lending standards.

One cannot happen before the other. One didn't happen before the other.

Not what I said at all. But I have no illusion that you are interested in how it happened

Being the shallow thinker that you are you have to blame it on one thing

Simplistic thinkers are like that

The housing crisis was many years in the making.

Those who attempt to blame it on one thing are simpletons who deserve derision and are not to be taken seriously

But if it makes you feel comfy and cozy at night blaming just Bush then I cannot stop you

ROFLMAO

Such foolishness

If you are so brilliant why are you wasting your time on a little trafficked message board? You should be blogging for Vox

Yes, it is what you said.

You literally said FDR was to blame.

FDR had nothing to do with Bush's regulators ceasing the enforcement of lending standards on subprime loans beginning in 2004.

do you think banks influenced the decision to lower standards?

and couldn't banks have voluntarily kept reasonable standards?

Those who attempt to blame it on one thing are simpletons who deserve derision and are not to be taken seriously

This is hilarious given you're the one who has been blaming Clinton, then FDR, for the actions Bush took in 2004.

Amazing that Democrats are so easily able to use their Jedi Mind Trick powers into getting Republicans to destroy the economy instead of admitting their tax cuts fucking suck and are dumb policy.

I said the problem started with FDR as he started the process of getting the gobblement involved in housing

Blame falls on many. Presidents, Congress, the Fed, banks and the people taking out the loans

That apparently is too complicated for you to wrap your brain around.

But because you have proclaimed that you presented such an airtight case, I submitted your thread to Vox. You should be hearing from the soon

What a little bitch you are, and I think you even know what a little bitch you are.

You can't do anything to counter any of the arguments I made here. First, you blamed Clinton, then you blamed FDR, and now you're saying no one is to blame because it's too complex!

It's not that complex.

The subprime bubble started in 2004 and popped by 2007, and it was inflated to give the impression the economy was growing because of the tax cuts, when it was really growing because of debt.
