Sure, just telling people to stay away should work.
But it is his fault that it spread so quickly in America.
Yes I know. Thanks for admitting.
We're not talking about the flu. The Corona is a lot more deadly.
But it is his fault that it spread so quickly in America.
Calif the same, ppl are flocking to the beach, park, trails etc...... They are closing the parking lots (duh) but they need cooperation, w/out that they are going to fail..
So that makes people walk along the street to get to the beach, putting them in even closer proximity to each other, as well as to traffic.
Sounds like a government solution to me!![]()
do you need to be forced?
how many of your rights are you willing to have taken?
freedom of association is a fundamental right and right now it is being infringed
Never said any such thing, dumbass. Stop spoofing.
no it isn't
God you are gullible if you believe that any President can stop the spread of any virus
Holy fuck
If the Democrats weren't guilty nobody would be blaming them.A president can't get people tested and quarantined instead of dicking around and blaming the Democrats like he always does?
Rights can be suspended in times of emergency. Now granted, that is something we need to be careful with, because there will always be politicians who try to take advantage of that. But simply requiring people to stay in-doors for a while isn't that bad. Especially because we're making exceptions for essential workers and activity in most states.
I guess I should also mention that we don't have freedom of association, anyway.
A president can't get people tested and quarantined instead of dicking around and blaming the Democrats like he always does?

According to the WHO we have a pandemic according to the CDC we have a pandemic. I will take their educated opinion rather than your's .Quote the specific law and show how the authority to have such a law stems from the Constitution of the State of Texas.
There is no epidemic. There is no pandemic. The infection rate is only 0.000753% and the death rate is only 0.0000927%. That's not even a situation. The flu this year is milder than even the one last year. It has infected fewer people and killed fewer people.
NOTHING gives the government 'unusual powers'.

The health authority is an officer whose office and duties are defined by
law. See §§121.021–121.029, Health and Safety Code. A local health
authority has considerable power that allows the health authority to
investigate suspected incidents and outbreaks of communicable disease.
“[E]stablishing, maintaining, and enforcing quarantine in the health
authority’s jurisdiction” is one of the local health authority’s explicit
legal duties. See §121.024(c)(1), Health and Safety Code. A major
responsibility of health authorities is their implementation of “control
measures,” which may include quarantine. So far, quarantine in this
state has been almost exclusively limited to noncompliant tuberculosis
patients, although application of quarantine measures may be applied to
any communicable disease when the situation warrants.
This kind of 'political' distinction is just too predictable. The states with, the most uninsured, the most obese, the lowest academic tests score, the most kids receiving school lunch programs, food stamp usage, most abortions. They same 4 or 5 states show up consistently. No surprise that this is the latest at which the top 5 or 6 'top' another chart.
Many states governors, both parties, are being given kudos for tell the Trump admin fuck you, we'll do what we can do given your DEARTH of information. Florida bought 1/2 tests kits from a source on their own, paying for it on their own.
Rachel Maddow name-checks 7 states refusing to take necessary precautions to protect people

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow name-checked seven states that are refusing to take significant precautions to protect the citizens in their states. There are, however, municipalities that are taking the steps, but the governors there are doing little.![]()
Oklahoma City, for example, has instituted a ban on bars and restaurants along with large gatherings and gyms. The state of Oklahoma, however, has declared a statewide emergency, but Gov. Kevin Stitt (R-OK) has done little to handle the situation. Over the weekend, while coronavirus was spreading throughout the city in the wake of transmission from Utah Jazz basketball players, Stitt was bragging about eating out with his family.

“Even as there is more and more focus of what states are pioneering new ideas, about what they can do to shut down and slow the spread of the virus, it’s also worth noting; we spend all of this time saying ‘Oh, California is trying, this the Bay is trying this, this city is trying this, schools are shut down here.’ We’ve been talking about the places where new stuff is being tried, where new strictures are being announced, look at it from the other side, though, too. It is worth noting that there are a bunch of states in this country that aren’t doing much at all.”
The National Governor’s Association is tracking the state-by-state response and where there are mandated bans of any specific size. There are no statewide bans in Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Missouri, Mississippi, Idaho and Wyoming.

“There’s no state-mandated school closures. No state-mandated limits on large gatherings. No state mandates on the operations of businesses like bars and restaurants,” Maddow said. These are all states where the Republican governor likely heard President Donald Trump’s directive and is simply choosing to ignore it.

“Now, in some of these cases, there are, you know, recommendations, nonbinding recommendations, urgings, strong feelings, expressed by leaders, and within these states, some schools and some businesses have followed their own lead or followed those urging the nonbinding recommendations, you know, local school districts, having to make those calls themselves, but in all seven of those states, no statewide rules,” Maddow continued.

It isn’t a Presidents job to get you tested.
Should he force you to get influenza vaccine?
We don’t?
When did that get repealed?
