I'm a Millennial.
Or maybe one of the Youths you speak of.

Because of Capitalism my Millennials make 20% less than Boomers at the same age.

Productivity is way up since then.
Stocks are way up since then.
CEO salaries are way up.

The issues are Capitalism.
Loss of unions.
Outsourcing.
Hiring illegals.
Hiring H2B visaa.
Feminism.

I had to chuckle on this.

I am immensely involved in mental health.

I have gone to mental health programs for PTSD treatment.

Taking Art therapy I have learned about the situation
&
I have interned in mental health programs too.

You are so wrong.

Welfare.mostly goes to poor families.

Many mentally ill I've dealt with will never get welfare unless they have a family.

The truth is a lot of youth & recently diagnosed mentally ill don't have Disanility awaiting years before a court.

They can't work usually.

Can end up homeless & hungry real quick.

And health care tied to employment is proving to be a dumb folly as 10M people lost their health care in the last 14 days.

Well, welfare goes mostly to corporations and the wealthy.

Like the $2.5T tax cut that was supposed to lead to 3% growth.

Yes & No.

All I know is most mentally ill I know have been homeless & hungry at times.

Most of it is our pathetic system denies many mentally ill over & over again Disability.

Causing for hunger & homelessness.

What economic system existed for boomers that allowed them to make 20% more?

By youth I was talking about workers just entering the workforce who make less money because they are just beginning their career.

What alternative economic system would you choose? All developed nations are capitalist but wages tend to be lower than the U. S. and unemployment and prices higher.

N. Korea, China, and Cuba are socialist but the people are certainly not better off in those nations.

What is your alternative?

Because The Greatest Generation had pride.

The Boomers did not.

As soon as Boomers took over the economy they flooded it with illegals & outsourced jobs in mass.

Typical Individualist drivels.

Induvidualists tend to think the World is just divided Libertarianism & Communism.

Those with mental illness are treated the worst in this country.

Punished because many can't find mates.

While White Trash & low class Blacks, Latinos etc. Who are normals are usually rewarded for having kids.

You can protect American industries from foreign competition but everybody lives at a lower standard of living with higher prices. Other countries do not provide us their rare earth metals required for technology and defense and do not buy U. S. products causing a loss of jobs in the export/manufacturing sector. Outsourcing was so our companies could compete with imports.

You can't compare today with post-WWII when we were the only major power with industrial capacity.

What is your alternative?
