The Deplorable Blue Collars, truckers, farmers, smelly Walmarters & bitter clingers

How many times have your fingers typed these same thoughts. Your mind is like a funnel, all sensory input goes into this little place. ^

Do you have any other ideas to present about anything? sheesh.

You are the one who wants more spending without concern for the debt and selfishly want to take the money of others for your own selfish benefit.

Giving health care to everyone is selfish? How so? And where are all the rich people now? Why aren't they helping anyone? They have billions and billions between them all, but are doing nothing.

Billionaires are not essential. Haven't seen a single billionaire deliver food, work in a hospital, or provide any essential service during this crisis.

And enough with the phony debt peacocking. We just went through this stupid debt argument 10 years ago, and the side you find yourself on had to fake a study to make their point. Remember? "Spreadsheet errors" and "data omissions" that totally changed the conclusion of Growth in The Time of Debt.

It's a study Paul Ryan even invoked when debating the stimulus and sequester. A study proven bunk.

Why do you think I vote libertarian? If I oppose it you will say I don't care about helping the unemployed. If I favor it you will say I don't care about the debt.

Right, so what does that tell you about your own position? That it's bullshit.

You are more interested in playing personal games than discussing politics.

I'm the one who wants M4A, which would give health care to the 17M people who just lost theirs (plus the 27 million un-insured, and the 40 million under-insured). You want those people to spend money they don't have, on health insurance they cannot afford. 84 million people lack quality health care in this country, and your response to them is to shrug your shoulders and posture over the debt while maintaining the choice you made to elect Trump by voting 3P in 2016 was a good one.

Profile in courage.

More lies. Again, I opposed the tax cuts without equal spending cuts.

Why do spending cuts need to accompany tax cuts? Are you saying that tax cuts only "work" to "grow the economy" if there are spending cuts alongside them?

How does that work?

Why does a tax cut not grow the economy if spending isn't cut? You've said repeatedly that tax cuts grow the economy by "letting people keep more of what they earn". So what do spending cuts have to do with that? Nothing, of course. So since there's no real economic argument in favor of tax cuts, then that means...?

Not the side I find myself own. As I have repeated often, BOTH SIDES are fiscally irresponsible.

My one vote for 3rd party would have given Hillary my state's electoral voters? Your math is terrible.

Even if I voted for Hillary and she won my state those 38 electoral votes would still not have given her the needed 270.

So, no. My vote for Johnson was not a vote for Trump any more than it was a vote for Hillary.

You were an honest man to admit you were wrong about some states not automatically cancelling uncontested primaries and that the stimulus is not a credit toward future taxes.

With a little additional thought, you will soon realize you are wrong about my 3rd party vote claim, that U. S. laws do not allow you to assault or kill Nazis, and that waving a Confederate flag is a protected 1st Amendment right.

Spending cuts are to keep the debt down because excessive debt slows economic growth. I never pushed tax cuts as a way to grow the economy. I don't really favor government trying to manipulate the economy with short-term stimulus aimed at elections versus long-term growth.

Lower taxes do allow consumers more money to spend which helps consumer spending, but I was happy with the effective tax rates before the 2017 cuts. I liked the corporate tax cuts because it makes American companies more competitive and takes away the incentive to stash the money abroad.

So you still have no rebuttal, MiCoward?

I guess we'll never know because you and millions like you thought 2016 was your chance to be cute with your vote.

How's that choice look now, as you sit confined to your home?

By voting 3P, you bear just as much responsibility for this mess as the people who voted for Trump, or who didn't vote. I bet you also thought voting 3P in 2016 would let you escape accountability. It doesn't, though.

Thanks for nothing.

Even if I voted for Hillary and she won my state those 38 electoral votes would still not have given her the needed 270.

Maybe. But there were millions of people just like you who thought your choice in 2016 was clever, thoughtful, and rational.

Now, as 17M people lose their jobs and health care, as 22,000 people die, as millions are locked in with abusive spouses and parents, and as everyone else is stuck at home, do you think your choice in 2016 was a poor one, in retrospect?

So, no. My vote for Johnson was not a vote for Trump any more than it was a vote for Hillary.

But it was, though. Because of your choice, and the millions who chose just as poorly as you did, we got Trump.

Thanks for nothing.

No, you voted 3P because you thought it absolved you of any guilt.

But it doesn't.

You're to blame just as much as the people who voted for Trump, or who didn't vote.

If you and millions of people like you had voted for Clinton, we wouldn't be in this mess today.

Spending cuts are to keep the debt down because excessive debt slows economic growth

NO. IT. DOESN'T!

This is exactly the same stupid argument you made 10 years ago that was proven wrong.

In fact, lower levels of debt-to-GDP harm economic growth. That's what the corrected study actually says.

I never pushed tax cuts as a way to grow the economy. I don't really favor government trying to manipulate the economy with short-term stimulus aimed at elections versus long-term growth.

1. You literally said that "keeping more of what you earned" via tax cuts "grows the economy".

2. You also said before that "we can't see the effects of tax cuts for several years" so give them a chance.

So tax cuts are a short-term stimulus only, and we see the effects (or the non-effects) immediately. So we don't need to give them time to see whether or not they worked.

We were promised at least 3% growth. Where is it?

Lower taxes do allow consumers more money to spend which helps consumer spending

Except that didn't happen in 2001, 2003, 2018, or 2019.

It also didn't happen on the state level either, with tax cutting states trailing the nation, for the most part, during Obama. Kansas is a great example. Only one year of the tax cuts did GDP growth in the state match the growth nationally. Every other year of the Kansas Trickle Down Tax Cuts saw lower growth in the state vs. the nation as a whole.

SI liked the corporate tax cuts because it makes American companies more competitive and takes away the incentive to stash the money abroad.

That's dumb because the corporate tax rate is still higher than it is in the countries where corporations flee.

So all that tax cut did was expand the deficit and not lead to higher growth or more jobs.

The Americans that the elite aristocratic democrat party snobs hate, are keeping this country running during the shutdown.

I am a non-Voter.
I am a registered Democrat.
I still lean Democrat.
I didn't vote last election, due to it being a joke election like Merkel vs Mussolini.
But, I kind of hoped Trump would win & sort out Illegals & Abortion, which he failed.

But, guess what?

I like many of my friends are blue collar.

I have worked blue collar manual labor jobs.

Including landscaping, working at an animal feed store, and as a mover.

Why would I mock that?

So does your choice not to vote in 2016 look bad, in retrospect?

Had you and Flash and all the other 3P and non-voters voted for Clinton, we wouldn't be in this mess today.

I think the first step to getting through this is acknowledging the mistakes made that created this environment.

Not really, because New York isn't a swing state.

My vote in NY is worth about a penny in value, and someone in Florida has a vote worth about a million bucks.
