They're not members of the Klan, but they have KKK support. Same goes for Trump.

To be fair, Republicans try to play both sides. They'll dog whistle to racists, but then they'll also say dEmS aRe ThE rEaL rAcIsTs. So the Republicans probably aren't actually racist, but they will pretend to be for the support.

I don't know that any of them were in the KKK. Neither Stretch's post nor your response mentioned the KKK, you were talking about racism in general.

Parties and ideologies are two different things. You know that.

Ask yourself this question: why did Dixiecrats move to the Republican party and why are the white supremacists and other racists Republicans and are supporting Trump? And if Democrats are truly racists, then why are there Jewish and Black Democrats?

Make sure you read the chronicles of Lee Atwater and his description of how Republicans took over the south by becoming the racist party. The Republicans used to dominate the liberal North East, and the metropolitan centers, since the 60's they rule in the deep south and rural areas.
