I am not talking about those who claim to be lefty here....I have no way to know how many people are lying.....we are colossal liars now.

Why do you think "we are colossal liars"? If a person is talking about themselves, it's difficult to know they are lying unless it's something stupid and easily disproved such as "I'm a Christian" or "I'm a health care worker" when they never act like Christians or don't know shit about medicine. When they are talking about politics, science or other such things, it's very easy to spot the liars and bullshitters.

Because that is how I find the world. The Right lie as well, those of us who tell the truth and who know what we are talking about are rare these days. Things were better back in the Good Old Days.

Sorry, dude, but that's just sad. There's a lot of good in the world, more than there is bad. This isn't a Pollyanna thing, it's looking at a 12 oz glass with 7-8 ounces of water and choosing to see it as either mostly full or mostly empty.

No, the "Good Old Days" weren't better, they're were worse either. They just were just like today. In 20 years, if you haven't X'd yourself out of existence, these will be the "Good Old Days".

I have Tablo cord-cutter and have been recording and binge watching a few old series such as Columbo and the Twilight Zone. It's funny to watch the Twilight Zone in the 60s and Columbo from the 70s to see what's changed. One thing I noticed on the Twilight Zone were signs on restaurant or soda shop walls with prices. One had "Ice Cream Sundae 35¢" Ahh, the good old days when a sundae was only 35¢, eh? Using an inflation calculator, do you know what 35¢ in 1961 equals today? $3.03, about the price of an ice cream sundae.

People can choose to be happy or sad. It's a choice. There are poor kids around the world living in huts who are happy to have a decent meal, water to drink and a place to play and there are rich kids in the USA with all the tech and opportunities wide open to them who complain about how the world sucks.
