In related news, Bill Gates opines [what does he know about it?] that HCQ “has severe side effects” and recommends novel drug therapies that involve recouping R&D money and enriching stockholders—be used in treating COVID patients.

Oddly, many people who advocate against HCQ also think our capitalist system is a big problem.
 
I have yet to see Trump or any of his fan boys lay out a vision for a second term.

The only thing they can muster are tepid defenses of Trump's multitude of lies, and flaccid excuses for Fatso's disastrous reponse to the pandemic.

COVID didn't have to be a negative for Trump. He could have displayed real leadership in a crisis and brought the country together against a common enemy.

He didn't. He showed his true colors, and there has rarely been a more clear example of someone in charge who simply folds when a crisis presents itself.

He told the whole country that he's a fine President when there is no adversity, but that as soon as a crisis hits, don't count on him. Who wants that in a President?

Presidents are supposed to be able to deal with crises.

Did you think actually that Trump would just be able to baby sit the Obama Economic Recovery, and hold MAGA rallies for four years?

This pandemic was an opportunity for Trump to be a hero and ensure his re-election if he had acted decisively and aggressivly like some other world leaders did.

He aggressively shut down immigration from China and was called a xenophobe for it lol.

He aggressively stood by Fauci’s recommendations: the governors aggressively implemented them and it destroyed a booming economy, put tens of millions out of work and exploded the national dept.

‘All Trump’s doing’.

And somehow ‘leadership’ [however that’s defined] from any other president would have mattered in any significant way—one way or the other?

Whenever anyone says he shut down travel from China, this is what I hear: "During the greatest crisis in a generation, Trump did one thing in the beginning, and then nothing else."

His leadership during COVID has been abysmal.

Mask use is based on mixed studies as is HCQ. You wear a mask because it might save some lives but you advocate against HCQ even though it might save some lives.

I don't advocate against HCQ. The evidence is against it, and I don't think Presidents should be in the business of making medical recommendations.

And Trump didn't take HCQ, btw.
 
I wonder when he took the HCQ/zince/D3 cocktail? It looks like he got it early enough to reduce the viral loading

What would you have done?

Get the hot spot thousands of ventilators?

Build thousands of extra hospital beds for the nation's hot spot?

Send a 1000 bed hospital ship to the nation's COVID hot spot?

Secure a medication supply for treatment of COVID?

Send government Doctors and Nurses to help the overwhelmed staff in the nation's COVID hot spot?

Use the law to cause the manufacture of thousands of ventilators?

Secured and distributed millions of PPE and replenished the government's strategic supply of PPE?

Ban the travel from China ?

Ban the travel from European COVID hot spot?

Push the development of multiple vaccines at warp speed.?

Pay for the manufacture of hundreds of millions of doses of the most promising vaccine BEFORE they finish trials so if they are safe they can be immediately given to the public?

Trump did all of those things.

So Bartender what would you have done? Make the nation a Martini?

A President has to lead. We've seen the effectiveness in other countries when there is real leadership.

He should be out there every day wearing a mask & distancing - not creating debates about both.

He should be advocating what works: washing hands, distancing, wearing a mask, testing & tracing.

And we should have a moon shot effort on testing. Trump thinks it's bad because it shows more cases. Our level of testing is woeful considering out population. We could have limited the impact on the economy greatly with leadership there.

Trump tried to ignore the problem & just hope it would go away. He has also done nothing but spread misinformation about it. He's been a horrible leader during a crisis.

Do you believe real medical tests proving Hydroxy does not work or believe idiots like Gohmert and Trump? If you are a rightys, you answer Gohmie and Daffy. That is revealing about you and what it says ought to embarrass you. But it does not.
