"In philosophy, naturalism is the idea or belief that only natural laws and forces operate in the universe. Adherents of naturalism assert that natural laws are the rules that govern the structure and behavior of the natural universe, that the changing universe at every stage is a product of these laws. Wikipedia"

A core difference between the 2 competing parties in the Cultural War.

Your side actually rejects natural law (obviously because it's liberal rather than progressive) because of the right to property.

Nope. Didn't know that. But ... does explain why Religious types don't give a fuck about 'Climate Change'.

Because they actually understand the science. For example: if we abolished all carbon emissions tomorrow, and returned essentially to the lifestyle of the 18th Century (if not earlier), guess how much we could theoretically reduce the average temperature of the planet by 2100?

Both Trump and the linked article know they are white supremacist activists who have violently attacked protesters. Why else would Trump bring up the Proud Boys when asked about white supremacists?

Both defendants were convicted in August of attempted gang assault, attempted assault and riot. Seven others charged in the incident pleaded guilty. One defendant is awaiting trial.

In court on Tuesday, a prosecutor, Joshua Steinglass recommended that Justice Dwyer sentence Mr. Hare and Mr. Kinsman to five years in prison, saying “violence meant to intimidate and silence” should have no place in society.

He cited a history of conflict between the Proud Boys — who are generally supporters of President Trump and disdain liberals, feminists and Islam — and Antifa, a loose affiliation of left-leaning activists.

If they are sentenced to prison, they'll have time to acquire an assortment of Aryan tattoos.

Protesters or rioters?

Says the person who often picks the funny answer and likes to be a goof as much as me. I'd say the entire JPP Trinity has an affection for being goofballs.

I usually do vote for the goof option, and have historically provided them. But, I am tired of media progressives right now.

I think 'right of Property' came about when Humans transitioned from 'Hunter/Gatherers' (like the American Indians) to 'Agriculture' (like European Farmers).
Thomas Paine had an interesting take on Land Ownership.

Evolution. Climate change. Stem cell research.

But since you mention gender, it's understood by neuroscientists that men and women have different brains. Male brains and female brains react differently to the same stimuli. However, among men who "feel" female, their brains are shown to react similarly to female brains to certain stimuli. The same is true to a lesser extent with women who feel like men. These people will often claim that they feel like they were "born in the wrong body."

That doesn't make them women; it means they have a condition.

People who call the Proud Boys a white supremacist organization don’t know what they’re talking about. Or they have an agenda.

Thomas Paine had a lot of interesting ideas, which is why he abandoned our revolution and participated in the French one. Of course, it got him killed, so...

I can’t believe people are this stupid. It really is sad that people don’t understand about race and ethnicity. It’s why we should just do away with race.

Yeah, but they meant it in a poetic way. Also, they didn't want to upset the public. They were smart politicians who understood the importance of presentation when establishing legitimacy. Their private letters reveal their true views. Also, it's noteworthy that none of the Founding Fathers requested a man of the cloth on their death beds.

Claims made without evidence may be dismissed without evidence.

Your claim is dismissed owing to your failure to present supporting evidence.

"Thomas Paine was one of the first people to argue in favor of what we now refer to as universal basic income."
https://www.libertarianism.org/articles/thomas-paines-solution-poverty

"Paine is unambiguous that in the state of nature “there could be no such thing as landed property originally.” People in the state of nature were allowed to occupy land but they had no right to own land as their own in perpetuity. Rather, “land… is the free gift of the Creator in common to the human race.” The earth belongs to every person and in a state of nature no one has a right to claim any particular part of that divine inheritance as their own. Paine notes that God did not “open a land office, from whence the first title‐deeds should issue.” For Paine, there are two principal kinds of property: natural property, which includes “the earth, air, water,” and artificial property (meaning private property), which is created by humans."

Let's start with who got the ball rolling on it being labeled a White Supremacist group...

No surprise there: The Southern Poverty Law Center.

The Southern Poverty Law Center calls the Proud Boys a hate group.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...te-supremacist-group-law-enforcement-agencies

The Proud Boys are categorized as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center and several other civil rights organizations.

https://www.dw.com/en/who-are-the-proud-boys/a-55112663

https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/extremist-files/group/proud-boys

Now, you have to understand that the Stupid Pathetic Liars Club (SPLC) is a radical Leftist hate organization of its own. They have repeatedly lost lawsuits for deformation, lying about groups and people, labeling them hate groups, racists, etc. The SPLC doesn't have much of a track record of winning against these either.

The FBI no longer considers them reliable as a source of information

https://www.cnsnews.com/news/articl...-made-endorsement-southern-poverty-law-center

Basically, the SPLC is not a credible source of information on Right wing groups. Since they are the originating source, since quoted widely by more sympathetic Left leaning and Leftist media sources, the whole idea that the Proud Boys are a White supremacist hate group is based on an unfounded source and is likely just another lie by the SPLC. That doesn't mean they might still be, but it certainly doesn't appear so on the face of what the group itself presents or its membership and actions.

What is going on here is a case of the "big lie." This is a propaganda technique where you smear an opponent and then repeat the lie frequently and widely giving it the appearance of being the truth. I'll even link this to a article about it from a hard Left source:

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2019/3/25/1845142/-The-Big-Lie-Propaganda-Principle-1

The point is, until there is a less biased viewing of this group, it's goals, and members, we aren't getting the truth about it from the SPLC and those that link back to that group in the media.

Good thing he wasn't on the committee (it included Adams and Franklin, as well as Jefferson) to draft the Declaration.

Naturally, Paine ranks down with Burr on my list of Founding Fathers.

"Thomas Paine’s Agrarian Justice and John Locke"
https://www.theglobalist.com/thomas-paine-agrarian-justice-and-john-locke/

"As a liberal political philosopher during an era of absolute monarchies, John Locke sought to set limits on the power of government. A critical part of that project was articulating a theory of private property grounded in natural law."

Dept.of Homeland Security;
Lone offenders and small cells of individuals motivated by a diverse array if social ,ideological and personal factors will pose the primary terrorust threat to the US. Among these groups, we assess the white supremacists ,who are increasingly networking with like minded persons abroad, will pose the the most persistent and lethal threat.
That is what experts in the field see.

Perhaps they will let us know when these people begin rioting, burning, looting, assaulting, and establishing autonomous zones.
