It will alienate independents and even some weak democrats. It will also garner a degree of sympathy for Trump.

Makes no sense, politically. Unless, Pelosi is looking for a distraction: Trump put the stimulus ball in her court; all she and House Democrats need to do is send a clean bill over to Trump and he will sign it

I'm not in favor of this move Pelosi is making...BUT IT MAKES A HELL OF A LOT MORE SENSE THAN ANYTHING COMING OUT OF TRUMP'S MOUTH.

For that matter, it makes a lot more sense than anything coming from any of the leading Republicans in America.

Trump's behavior over the past few weeks has been erratic, reckless and irresponsible. It's not a stretch to say that he has put our national security at risk.

I think Pelosi should let the election play out, but people who aren't under his spell are legit alarmed by how he's talking & acting.

Seriously? The ill-advised motorcade & weird mask-removing ceremony on the WH balcony? The crazy interview yesterday where he said he's "extremely young" and made all kinds of false and misleading claims about COVID?

We have people from the FBI, former secret service and WH staff, and healthcare calling Trump's disregard of precautions and claims that he isn't contagious both reckless and unnecessarily putting others at risk. Even Mitch McConnell is now saying he won't go near the WH because they don't take proper precautions.

And ALL of that - exemplified by the rose garden ceremony for the new justice candidate - puts our national security at risk.
