Trump did not take over anything any more than any other president's judicial appointments. Excessive drama.

The SC just allowed NC and PA to extend their deadlines for receiving and counting ballots which were both opposed by Republicans.

The states cannot set the number of justices on the Supreme Court because that is the function of Congress.

However, according to you ONLY the states have the power to change the Constitution. If you were correct they could set the number of SC justices, but that is an incorrect description of their power.

The reference to the state court expansions was just to illustrate Republicans as well as Democrats are willing to "pack" the courts.
 
I have never read anywhere in the Constitution where we should be treating Supreme Court Justices like Supreme Beings. These people are not GODS! THEY ARE NOT SAINTS. THEY ARE HUMANS AND HUMANS TEND TO ERR and CAN BECOME SOME OF THE WORST AND DANGEROUS LIVING BEINGS ON THIS PLANET!

Now that we have set the bar so low as to appoint RELIGIOUS Zealots and POLITICAL HACKS to become Judges and give them lifetime appointments to the court- WE LOOK MORE LIKE IRAN THAN AMERICA.

THAT WAS THE FINAL STRAW FOR ME.

NOW I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANY MORE LIFETIME APPOINTMENTS! NO ONE SHOULD BE SERVING OVER 4 YEARS CONCURRENTLY FOR ANY POLITICAL POSITION IN THIS COUNTRY.

Getting politicians is the easy part- IT's THE GETTING RID OF THE BAD EXAMPLES THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

Trump started all interviews with "will you be loyal to me? " He is digging his hooks in when he talks to them. He has control over them and they will vote as he wishes.. Brett was against that decision. So would Barrett be. Thomas is a deadhead righty and an embarrassment to the court. It took that long to get the people he wanted. The last 3 are Trump employees. He has Alto and Thomas as locks.
That decision was simple. Trump said he wanted topo to get those selections in, in case they would make the election decision. Does that mean he is not in charge to you?

How do you know he started all interviews with "will you be loyal"? Sounds like a unverified claim. We both know there is no way Trump can make justices vote as he wants. Even he knows better than to talk to nominees in this manner. Barrett did not even take part in that decision.
