Trump must concede now or face removal from office

Hello Biden Transition Team,

If he fails to admit that he has lost, Frontline, the Sunrise Movement, United We Dream Action PAC, the Movement for Black Lives Electoral Justice Project, the youth coalition Count on Us, and the Women’s March are all on standby to lock down the capital city.

If the president or others continue to oppose the peaceful transition of power in the face of mass protests, it will be time for tactics to shift toward strikes. Strikes have been successful in ousting defeated dictators before.

Because Trump and his supporters refuse to accept the results of the election there is physical danger, especially to people of color, undocumented immigrants, and other groups the Trump administration and white supremacist groups have targeted.

The massed outpouring of protest over the past four years, from the Women’s Marches to the uprisings around the country this summer in response to police killings of George Floyd and other Black Americans, is proof that Americans are ready to resist Trump's attempts to subvert the will of the people.

Speaker Pelosi has put a Commission in place to discuss ways and means of removing Trump from office by force, if necessary. Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md. is a Constitutional scholar and he has stated that the legislation currently introduced in the House is not only legal, but past due.

This is premature talk.

The election is not a done deal.

The ballot-counting process continues.

I would like to see this as much as any Biden voter, but I refuse to begin celebrating a victory which is not certain, has not been called by the AP.

The election could still go for Trump. That is looking increasingly unlikely at this point, but we must see this process out.

Patience is the key.

Welcome back, evince.

I have become a Democrat while you were gone.

We need Zod.

Biden defeats Trump

Biden surpassed 270 electoral votes by flipping the battleground state of Pennsylvania on Friday morning.

Biden surpassed the 270 electoral votes required to win the White House by flipping the battleground states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, according to projections by Decision Desk HQ. Georgia, North Carolina, and Nevada are continuing to count ballots.

I am surprised Pelosi and the rest of the Democrats do not know this yet. You must have some inside information.

Trump has told people he has no plans to concede

Trump offered little indication on Friday he was prepared to concede defeat, leading those around him to wonder who might be able to reckon with a leader who has given virtually no thought to leaving the White House.

Trump has not prepared a concession speech and in conversations with allies in recent days has said he has no intention of conceding the election, people familiar with the matter said.

So far he has been bolstered in his stance by those closest to him, including his senior advisers and his adult sons, who have mounted an aggressive effort in the courts to challenge the results and have pressured other Republicans into defending him.

Top aides, including his chief of staff Mark Meadows, have not attempted to come to terms with the President about the reality of what is happening.

Instead, they have fed his baseless claim that the election is being stolen from him.

That has led to some annoyance among staff, who believe Meadows is feeding the President's baseless claim that the election is illegitimate.

Vice President Mike Pence -- who has not been seen since the early hours of Wednesday morning -- is doing his part to appease Trump by soliciting funds for his legal defense fund.

Trump has acknowledged to some allies he recognizes the electoral math will not work in his favor, according to people familiar with the conversations, but has maintained that a prolonged court battle and corrosive rhetoric about election fraud would sow enough doubt to allow him to refuse to accept the results.

Trump is not scheduled to appear in public on Friday, though an appearance at some point has not been ruled out. He spent the morning angry and frustrated, watching television while griping more people weren't defending him on the airwaves.

While the reality of Trump's loss has set in for many people close to the campaign, others are advising the President to continue fighting the outcomes and investigate claims of fraud.

President-elect Biden's campaign voiced little concern at the prospect of Trump clinging to power.

"As we said on July 19, the American people will decide this election. And the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House," Transition Team spokesman Andrew Bates said in a statement.

No, sock, the Supreme Court will decide the election results.

Section 4.
Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

If he refuses....

So it's ok for left wing groups to be on "stand by", but if right wing groups are on "stand by" it's an outrage? Very interesting.

Also, Trump has until January 19th to concede before the peaceful transition of power would be in jeopardy. Fool.

What do you base that fantasy on? Concessions come after the election is called, That will be today. Trump is not expected to concede ever. He does not care about a peaceful transfer. He cares about himself.
