"After surviving a bout with covid-19, Texas Roadhouse CEO Kent Taylor’s post-infection symptoms grew increasingly painful. Taylor was beset in particular with a severe case of tinnitus — a loud buzzing or ringing in the ears that can be debilitating.

"Last week, amid an escalating fight with the conditions, Taylor, 65, died by suicide, his family said. His body was found on Thursday in a field on property he owned outside Louisville, the Courier-Journal reported."

What a tragic loss. Poor man. He truly represents the American entrepreneurial spirit, and our generosity as well.

"His company celebrated him as the hands-on founder of a chain that now counts more than 600 locations, noting that as the pandemic wreaked havoc with the restaurant industry last year, he gave up his base salary and a nearly $1 million bonus and donated another $5 million to “help support his frontline workers.”"

He had to be in real serious pain to take his own life, I know he had to have the very best in medical care too?!! If covid does not kill you outright, those after effects are just as dangerous, some people had to get double lung transplants too?!! The news and weather lady where he lived in Louisville, was let go from her station, after she became a long hauler after covid, suffered from severe migraines and brain fog. I would not like constant loud buzzing in my ears either, can't say what I would do about it? R.I.P!

What are common COVID-19 symptoms of long haulers?

That place is the hottest thing around right now. I hope they don't close.

Same here.

They'll probably continue on since they're profitable; it's likely that his accountants and attorneys took care of inheritance. His parents are still living (!) and he has three children as well.

It must have been horrible for him. Poor, poor man. RIP.

It is so sad, I can’t imagine his level of suffering to do this.

Taylor's life story is great; all those failures and eventually success. His charity is commendable and well above average.

Thanks for sharing the link and Taylor's story.

What are your symptoms? Have you seen your physician? Shortness of breath can also be caused by heart issues.

Just a node of the lung acting up. A small percentage of less wind. My heart is fine.

My body beat it pretty quick, looks like it's a good thing it did.

I love Texas Roadhouse... well, it was better when we got free peanuts... but yeah. Great restaurant.

What? They don't do free peanuts anymore? We haven't been to TR since we moved up here 4.5 years ago. That was half the fun!

Covid changed a bit of the availability of the peanuts. They do bring some to your table, but it is paper bags... The big barrels of peanuts are gone.

If I was going to go to a steakhouse chain, Outback would be my first pick.

But Texas Roadhouses are pretty decent if you're looking for a place right off the highway on a road trip.

Sucks that this happened. If Trump and his GOP friends hadn't lied about COVID from Jan-Mar 2020, this guy would probably still be alive.
