I got a bad feeling about this. I might have been very wrong to get excited when DW indicated that we were likely hours away. I even saw one piece wondering if the ship will break, some serious questions about its quality...can it take a lot of pushing around?
 
More and more shippers voting with their feet so to speak and heading off for the southern tip of Africa, and maybe pirates, does not do my mood any good.

This is the last thing humanity needs right now.

Yes, probably.

Sounds to me like the thing hit a sandbar. They need to do dredging maintenance on this section of the canal more often, with all the sand that blows into it.

The people who run the canal have been found lying, and their management competence is certainly in question.
 
I am not liking the odds that we will ever be allowed to know what actually happened here....why we took this hit.
