Video reviewed by Fox News showed that her predecessors, former Vice President Mike Pence and President Biden, regularly saluted the honor guard in the same situation.

Anyone who ever served in the military knows there are rules about saluting in the military. It's not required of civilians. Additionally, saluting the VP is not required since the position isn't in the military chain of command. I doubt most of those whining about this ever served a day in their life. If they did, then they are either stupid or lying.

It's my understanding that she verbally acknowledges her color guard quietly rather than saluting.
Civilians look awkward trying to affect a military salute, and I'm sure the color guard people either appreciate her approach just as much or don't really care.
