Trump ignored the pandemic and is on recorded audio saying that the reason he wasn't honest with you was because he didn't think you could handle the truth.

Yes, COVID is an act of nature, but the pandemic is an act of yours because you and Trump both spent Jan-Mar 2020 lying about COVID, calling it a hoax, and downplaying it either wittingly (in Trump's case) or unwittingly (in your case because you just repeated what Trump said).
