is he just being a typical salesman/charlatan/grifter and saying and doing anything he can to achieve his desired results?

I suspect it was the latter. He even said before the election that if he lost, it would be due to voter fraud. After the election, he fomented the Big Lie and
the Right Wing Media ran with it and came up with bogus conspiracy theories like 'Matching Signatures', boxes of ballots under tables, Dominion software flipping votes, Chinese ballots, My Pillow moron, Hugo Chavez etc. and when Trump heard all these, it convinced him he was right about voter fraud. He then started believing his own Big Lie.

I dont think it really matters as he isn't the president. As to the election, was it stolen? Who knows? What is fairly obvious to all but the most blind ignorant democrats is that there were plenty of irregularities in this election. Enough to say it was stolen? Probably not but the hysterical response by the left to any questioning of the election makes me wonder.

like Mike Loondell and Sydney Kraken Powell.

I think Trump really believes he won the 2020 election. And I believe he's so pissed about it, he's losing his sanity. Word is he's still having dreams he's still President and when he wakes up, he's cranky and depressed.

Trump does not need to believe. He simply wants the position and powers and refuses to give them up. His thinking is not constrained by win, lose or right, and wrong. If he sees a way to take something he sees as profitable to him, he will. That is what Trump means by "winning".
