If anything should be done, it should involve licensing requirements for broadcasting. Require all media who purport to present factual events ("news") to be able to verify what is presented, or lose their license. If they want, for instance, to present what a wonderful IMPOTUSx2 the Toadstool was, it must be clearly labeled as OPINION rather than news.

Anything presented that might be considered political -- for instance, Harris's visit to the border -- must be counter-presented by an equal amount of time showing what the other side is saying/doing. Example: Show 60 seconds of a Harris visit to the border, and 60 seconds of some (R) politician's similar visit. Exceptions could be made if showing video of whoever is POTUS attending some state event, like the recent G7... as long as the video doesn't show the POTUS making political statements about the other party/politicians. If Biden starts ranting about the Cult, for example, then they must show some rebuttal from the Cult.
