It appears the right wing echo chamber has seized on this red herring. There are an estimated 45 million unvaxxed adult Republicans, Darth included. He might want to clean up his own house before worrying about a few thousand immigrants.

As for super spreader events. Today in Jacksonville, there will be hundreds of them. At every bar, restaurant, gym, hair salon and movie theater in the city. That's where we are now in Florida. UNF hospital has seen over a 1,000% increase in Covid hospitalizations in the last month. Here's a little taste of what it's like here right now.

Hospitalizated are now under 40, with 90%+ unvaccinated.

"If you go to any hospital or ER right now, we are seeing the highest number of admitted COVID-19 patients than we ever have during this pandemic,” said Dr. Mohammed Reza, a Jacksonville infectious disease specialist. “We’re admitting 20-year-olds, 30-year-olds, 40-year-olds at this point.”

Of these patients, Reza said, more than 90% have not been vaccinated.

“We don’t see light at the end of the tunnel. From all the projections we are seeing, this shoots up rather than leveling off,” Reza said.

Walk in testing is no longer available anywhere. Appointments are booked anywhere from 3-7 days out. Wait times at the one testing site that offers walk ups is measured in hours with results coming in days. Urgent cares are full. Wait times in ERs are lengthy unless there is an immediate emergency like a heart attack or stroke. And yet... no masks, no social distancing, no public health measures. DeSantis will not allow them. This is the state of things in Jacksonville, Florida. It is a shit show, and it is going to get much, much worse.

What I find amusing and at the same time disturbing is how casual they have become with the truth. To them, lying is okay. Even when they're caught, they double down on the lie. I'll bet you didn't know Brazilian Tourists were largely responsible for outbreak in Florida. Even though travel from Brazil is banned. I'll bet you didn't know that 500,000 illegal immigrants have been relocated to Florida, and 30% are positive for Covid. Even though less than that number have been released IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. When you no longer care about lying, you have no credibility, and worse yet, you have no integrity. It's a disgrace.

Curry, who is a Republican, has actually done a pretty good job, but his hands are tied by the Governor. I've never seen anything like this. I took my wife to an urgent care at 3 P.M. They told her they couldn't see her because they closed at 8 and they had more than a five hour backup. It's that bad now, and every day it gets worse. I never saw this coming. I thought we were going to have a normal summer. Sadly, I was wrong.

Keep the idiots as far away from the beach as humanly possible.
