Unemployment is 3.9 percent

Tax cuts do not cause a housing collapse, dumbass.

Yeah they did, according to Bush.

Bush is the one who tied his tax cuts to the growth of the housing market, and he wasn't the only one who did that while campaigning in 2004.

So if his tax cuts were responsible for the growth of the housing market, they're also responsible for the collapse of the housing market since they're instrinsically linked.

The only reason you and Bush weakened standards for lending in 2004 was because the tax cuts didn't deliver on a single promise made of them, and you needed to make the economy look like it was growing as a result of tax cuts, when it was really growing as a result of debt.

Nope. Wrong as usual.

The Fed was not involved in the pump and dump schemes of Wall Street lenders; they did all that independently.
It was directly responsible.
All the subprime lending? None of that was from the government.
It is from the government.
And in fact, government-backed loans via F&F performed WAY BETTER than any loans backed by private lenders.
No. They were centered in the housing collapse.
You don't know what you're talking about.
Inversion fallacy. You're a liar, dude.

Congress runs it.

Wrong. They do not. Congress does not run the Fed. The Fed is independently run from Congress and has been for over 100 years.

Yes there was.

Prove it. Should be easy enough for your to prove. I'll even help you out:

An economic depression is a steep and sustained drop in economic activity featuring high unemployment and negative GDP growth.

But GDP growth for Q3 2009 was 1.5%, which means the economy saw an increase, not a drop, in economic activity.

All you do is lie.

Also, officially, about 900,000 people have died of COVID and many of them were workers.

So a lot of those job openings are simply because 900,000 people have died.
Covid19 does not kill.
Argument from randU fallacy. Quoting made up numbers is a fallacy, dude.

The cause of the crash was earlier than that, stretching all the way back to Carter and Clinton

The cause of the collapse was the dramatic weakening of underwriting standards for subprime loans, beginning in 2004 and extending through 2007.

If you think Carter or Clinton had anything to do with it, then simply post the legislation they signed with the relevant parts quoted from that legislation to make your case.

I'll save you time, though, because no such legislation ever occurred.

You got conned again because you're just not very bright.

Are you brain damaged?
Insult fallacy.
Obama was elected in November 2008.
And the crash became widespread in Dec 2008. And Obama interfered with the recover, causing a depression.
Obama came into office January 2009.
When he started interfering with the recovery.
The fascism has finally destroyed whatever remained of that half-brain of yours.
What fascism? Obama's?
Fascism is a form of socialism, dude. Democrats. It is government manipulation of markets.
...deleted irrelevance...
All you do is lie and rush through your responses without bothering to check your work.
That's your habit. You lie, you steal shit from other people to pass off as your own, you lie some more, you try to gaslight people, then you act like an arrogant turd before finally running away from your failures in each thread.

Inversion fallacy. You are describing yourself.

While Lehman Bros. collapsed in Sept, the full collapse in the housing market started in December.

Wrong.

The housing market started its collapse back in 2006, when all the shitty garbage subprimes you used to fake economic growth in 2004 started defaulting.

Obama caused the depression that followed by arguing for and passing the Stimulus act, which was simply a matter of printing money in huge wads, with no corresponding increase in wealth, and in implement 'too big to fail' programs.

Completely fucking wrong...

The ARRA sped up the end of the Great Recession, and we had positive GDP growth beginning Q3 2009.

You don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

If printing all that money caused a depression, then we would have seen the hyperinflation y'all were promising once the ARRA was implemented and the money was spent.

But instead, we saw the exact opposite.

Trump promised me a massive depression if Biden were allowed to be inaugurated.

LABOR PARTICIPATION RATE IS DOWN MORE THAN A MILLION WORKERS, OH GREAT ECONOMIC GENIUS.

DECEMBER JOBS REPORT WAS A DISASTER.

BLACK UNEMPLOYENT IS OVER 6%...NOWHERE NEAR WHERE TRUMP HAD IT.

PRES.MORON IS BUUILDING OUT OF THE WORST ECONOMIC STATE IN OUR LIVES, THANKS TO THE CHINESE BIOO-ATTACK, AND THE DUNCE-O-CRAT SHUTDOWNS.

THE TRUMP FOUNDATION OF THE ECONOMY IS WHY WE ARE STILL AFLOAT.
