Oz vs. Fetterman (Lurch) debate

Thank you for your opinion, Dr. Gardner. Save your vituperation for the the brain-dead idiots in your own party.

A stroke is a scary and life-changing event, whether it happens to you or someone you know. Strokes damage the brain, which is a complex organ that controls thought, emotion, motor skills, breathing, temperature, and every process that regulates our body. Depending on the location of the damage, the stroke can affect different brain functions, such as your ability to live independently, to think clearly, or to process your emotions. A stroke can even change your personality. But does a stroke always cause permanent damage? The simple answer is no, but in order to understand the more complex truth behind the answer, it’s important to have a basic understanding of what causes strokes and the role of stroke rehabilitation in a successful recovery.

Your answer says nothing. Prove that someone who has had a serious stroke, as Fetterman has, can return to pre-stroke "normal" in just a matter of a few months. That's the situation here. If Fetterman is elected, he will be a Senator in a few months making serious decisions for the entire US as a country and population. If he cannot do that with--to use the venacular--a clear and rational mind, we could be seriously fucked by his incompetence.

Fetterman's a Harvard grad who is recovering from a stroke. Maybe you should drop the ignorant epithet "retard" already. Your girlfriend Toxic claims she taught these kinds of kids throughout her career.

I doubt that. Strokes usually result in permanent damage. Fetterman, at some point, may regain some of his cognitive ability but it will be years, decades, before that happens. It won't happen in the next two or three months when he would take office in the Senate if he wins. We would have one more mentally impaired Democrat in the Senate making idiotic decisions that fuck the entire country up. Not something a rational, or reasonable, a person would want.
Hey the guy running the country is brain damaged so why not have another brain damaged Democrat in DC.

Well, in that sense, it does make sense. Birds of a feather and all that...

And, the guy running the country's brain isn't damaged so much as worn out. It's like the suspension on an old car. Everything is wobbly, loose, and clunking because all the parts are years and miles beyond their usable limits.

So, a guy that lived in his parent's basement until he was nearly 40, who has never had a 'real' job in his life, has ZERO medical background, and can no longer even string complete sentences together is suddenly an expert on medicine?

You pretend you're so smart and then you spout drivel like this. Admit that your opinion is based on Oz's negative campaign ads because it's clear you never researched his background.

He did not live in his parent's basement until he was nearly 40. For two years, Fetterman worked in Pittsburgh as a risk-management underwriter for Chubb, he joined AmeriCorps and worked in Pittsburgh teaching students working for their GEDs; he started as part-time mayor of Braddock and full-time director of its youth program. He founded a non-profit to acquire and save Braddock properties.

Fetterman made helping disadvantaged people his life's work and all you can do is sneer about it. Not that I expect anything better from a repug.

Fetternman appears to be suffering with a pretty severe case of Wernicke’s aphasia. He is 7 months out and still has severe problems with understanding language. Maybe his stroke made him flip flop on fracking. The man is a total fraud.

He is a full on retard, unfit for service.

You're disgusting. Tammy Duckworth is in Congess doing a great job despite losing her legs and some use of an arm. Should she retire because she can't walk into the chamber to vote?

You of all people should have more empathy for people with physical or emotional challenges, given what you've told us about your wife.

Time to send it to the crusher.

You having trouble understanding the bolded words "But does a stroke always cause permanent damage? The simple answer is no..."?

Your argument is supposition. Every person who strokes doesn't recover at the same rate.

Tell Harvard the degree is worthless, dropout. Fetterman has two other degrees in addition to the one from Harvard. What's your educational history?

Fetterman graduated from Albright College, also his father's alma mater, with a bachelor's degree in finance, after which he received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Connecticut in 1993.
