Trump in growing legal and political peril ahead of 2024

The Manhattan district attorney has invited former president Donald Trump to testify next week before a grand jury, potentially signaling a significant development in the ongoing investigation into Trump’s business affairs.

An Atlanta-area district attorney investigating whether Trump and his allies broke the law when they sought to overturn Trump’s 2020 election loss in Georgia could announce in coming weeks whether charges will be filed in that case.

And some former allies of Trump, as well as some Trump voters, have expressed a desire for a different 2024 Republican standard-bearer — most specifically, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has privately indicated he plans to seek the White House.

Trump also stole a truckload of classified documents from the American people, lied to the FBI about them, and had them copied. Trump is a public crook. He is so entitled that he steals in public and defies you to stop him.

I do not know what to make of our nation anymore. I like Biden but it looks like Trump is bossing him around.
 
Republicans try to reframe January 6 as a sightseeing tour – will it work?

It might be thought that Republicans would prefer not to remind Americans of the day their president nearly destroyed US democracy.

But the party’s right wing is going all in to rewrite the history of the 6 January 2021 storming of the Capitol by Donald Trump’s supporters, and to make political martyrs of those imprisoned for assaulting police officers and sending politicians fleeing as the mob attempted to stop Congress from endorsing Joe Biden’s election victory.

Obama could be and should be legally executed over his DACA executive order. It was a clear violation of section 1324 title 8 and the law lists execution as one of the possible penalties.

Why don't repubs demand this?
 
The country had better gear up. Trump is going to be the GOP nominee in '24.

DeSantis doesn't really stand much of a chance in the primary. When things get rolling, Trump will define him with nicknames, insults & grade-school characterizations, and conservative primary voters will eat it up w/ a spoon.

Trump is sort of a never-ending nightmare. Kind of like one of those horror movies where the monster keeps showing up again.

The pResident of the United States stole Classified documents when he was a VP. And the pResident smuggled classified documents out of SCIF when he was a senator. And he is compromised to China. So stop whining about Trump.
