GOP Senator Lisa Murkowski: ‘I just don’t know how long I can stay in this party.'

Racism is a disease
“We should be concerned about this as Republicans. I’m having more ‘rational Republicans’ coming up to me and saying, ‘I just don’t know how long I can stay in this party'.
Now our party is becoming known as a group of kind of extremist, populist over-the-top [people] where no one is taking us seriously anymore.”

I about fell out of my chair last week when the SF Chronicle actually had a columnist write a story that Republicans might actually become viable again in the state based on some of things Democrats were doing. The point being there are plenty of people on each side of the isle fed up with what their party is doing which makes for a great opening for a group like No Labels, who in theory are about at least attempting to work together for solutions.

Of course what sounds good in theory and the real world can often be two different things but there are plenty of fed up people out there.

We see democrats flipping to GOP.

This isn't a new thing.

Odds are her statement is based more on her winning her seat again than any actual political belief.

I was fed up with the Republican Party in 1999. Of course the Dims weren’t the alternative.

I don't. Maybe you do because you see a plethora of things that really aren't there. I think it's called delusional disorder.

Not that it matters but the subject and what was posted don’t match. Subject says Murkowski said she doesn’t know how long she can stay in the party. What was posted says she said people came up to her and said they may not stay in the party much longer.

(Would be kind of a big deal if a sitting Senator changed party’s, especially in a closely divided Senate.)

What fucking horse shit you liar

I imagine you aren’t alone. (Of course the reasons people get turned off by a party they were formally a member of can vary.)

Gerald Ford is my favorite with Reagan second.
Belatedly I came to appreciate Bill Clinton.
That kind of tells you something about my political philosophy.
