Image depicting Trump as Jesus figure removed after uproar

Religious conservatives have been some of President Donald Trump’s strongest supporters, but some are speaking out against an image the president posted online depicting himself as a Jesus-like figure.

The image is blasphemous, some said. It is sacrilegious. And it is politically unwise. Amid the backlash, the image was removed from Trump's social media feed in what appeared to be a rare concession to critics.

“This is gross blasphemy,” Brilyn Hollyhand, the former chair of the Republican National Committee’s Youth Advisory Council and a self-described “full time Christian” said of the image in a social media post. “Faith is not a prop. You don’t need to portray yourself as a savior when your record should speak for itself.”

A tempest in a teapot 🫖.

I have seen signs on people's lawn depicting Crazy Trump as Jesus, so there are true misguided believers, unfortunately

Joke of the day

President Donald Trump admitted Monday to posting an image on social media that appeared to depict him as a Jesus Christ-like figure, but disputed its widely perceived meaning when pressed on the matter by a reporter.

“I did post it, and I thought it was me as a doctor,”
Trump told a reporter at the White House Monday when pressed about the image, described by the reporter as depicting the president “as Jesus Christ.”

“Only the fake news could come up with that one. I just heard about it and I said 'how did they come up with that?' It's supposed to be me as a doctor making people better! And I do make people better, I make people a lot better!”

A post that brought condemnation from even the loyalist. It was enough of a tempest to cause DonOld’s team to remove it. When Truth Social is condemning him, you know it’s bad.
If the Chairman or Executive Officer of any place I've ever worked posted a picture of themselves as a divine Jesus-like figure, we would have thought the guy was both nuts and unprofessional.

Trump has massive disdain for the magats who make up his base. the minute he is done politics is the last time he associates with any of them.

Trump has always loved and craved the love of the 'elite monied class' and that is who he craves to hang out with.

His post as himself as Jesus is just passive aggressive making fun of a big segment of his base and their beliefs. he simply cannot help but mock them due to his disdain.

His comments on 'shooting someone...' and 'love the poorly educated...' were the past mocking he did.

Marco's response is proof that MAGAts, even Brazilian ones, will swallow whatever their Orange Daddy is spewing.

So you bellyache when he posts it and you say he caves when he removes it. This is why you people should shat upon at every opportunity
