Inflation surged to 3.8% in April, its highest level in nearly three years

Inflation surged to 3.8% in April, its highest level in nearly three years, according to data released Tuesday, as the war in Iran causes a ripple effect across the economy and energy prices surge.

As inflation continues to accelerate, it’s eating into Americans’ wages at a rapid clip. April’s inflation rate means that prices are now rising faster than wages, which could exacerbate the affordability crisis that has already been gripping consumers.

B-b-but BIDEN! It's HIS fault! lol

But the price of eggs are down 600%!!!

Trumpys fixated on inflation and the cost of living when Biden was in office. Now it is unimportant. The 30 percent core that accepts whatever Trump does will not win the midterm elections. Trump's base is shrinking fast.
When the (R)s lose their asses in November, it'll be blamed on your choice of 1) fraud, 2) "Illegals," 3) the media, 4) Biden, 5) Obama, 6) failure to sacrifice properly to the #MalignantMessiah. lol

I wish that I had your confidence. I'm afraid of the gerrymandered districts, the corrupt SCOTUS, and the intimidation factor if the idiot POTUS sends polls observers.

Trump is going to use armed ICE to intimidate voters. I do not know the rules in other states, but there is a 100-foot buffer that people cannot cross to give voters pamphlets or voting paperwork in Michigan. I am pretty sure they will ignore those limits.

It's a serious situation. I think it's an existential situation for the return of a free America.. Is it all over already?

Its ok now because you have to understand which groups Trump is speaking about benefitting when he claims the US economy is the best ever now.

Trump’s Profiteering Hits $4 Billion

In August, I reported that the President and his family had made $3.4 billion by leveraging his position. After his first year back in office, the number has ballooned.

I'm seeing a lot of celebration from MAGA's the past week or so about the court rulings on redistricting/gerrymandering (which of course are more examples of their incredible hypocrisy on that topic).

I mean - do those rulings even matter? Only hardcore MAGA thinks this admin is doing any kind of competent job. That's about 20-30% of voters. Unless things change significantly, Republicans will lose Congress in the fall, deservedly.

I am too. It's ominous that the (R)s aren't making any racket at all about this misbegotten war and the resulting domestic problems. Maybe they know something we don't know.

It i 3.8 percent determined by his people whon replaced all the real professionals in the Department of Labor Statistics. He named a Heritage Socie economist to replace the previous head.
