Tom Steyer Spent $540M on Two Races

He spent $340M on his 2020 Presidential campaign and $200M on his current campaign for California Governor, which it sounds like today he found out he won't make the top two.

You can almost say that's gangsta. Quite the flex to spend that much and be still be cool.
You can thank the Robert’s Court for that one, Citizens’ United, it opened up the flood gate, will go down as dumb as Dred Scott and

I noticed you don't seem to think it's bad that a Democrat billionaire takes advantage of that ruling.

Yes it was! Since I've seen you mentioned San Diego before, I've been to opening day at Del Mar. That was a scene!
Three iconic racetrack in America; Del Mar, Keeneland in Kentucky, and Saratoga in New York, having done all three, the last is far and away the most interesting

Huh? Citizens United was about independent expenditures from corporations, unions and other outside groups.

Steyer spent his own money. That had nothing to do with Citizens United.

If Steyer raised $540m no one would blink an eye. Presidential campaigns spend over $1b.

Steyer spent his own money. That's why its gangsta.

Can't say I'm much of a horse guy but man, it was fun. What differentiates it?

Started out as independent expenditures from corporations but has since been applied to legitimized nearly any form of financial support and made such as Steyer seem near normal which previously would have stigmatize the candidate

And just because he's a Democrat, you don't care about billionaires in politics, right?
Do repubs care about billionaires in politics?

You think Dems aren't capitalists, right? And if some Dem gets to be a billionaire, he should give all his money away to the poor, right?

So, hypocrisy is a policy choice then?
Seems to be so for magas. None of them criticize trump and his corrupt billionaire cronies, but mention George Soros, or far less wealthy people like Nancy Pelosi or Mark Warner and we see the repub double standard on full display.

He's hardly the first person to spend large sums of personal money on a campaign.
Millionaires/Billionaires running for office is more of a standard these days, there no longer exists disdain for such, excessive money in politics regardless of where it comes from is normal, and it stems from Citizens United opening up the flood gates

Think of Citizens United as the NIL of politics

Who are they, leggiecrite? Mark Cuban is an Independent and George Soros has no affiliation. I don't know anything about Steyer.

I will repeat the question.

Any posts criticizing your beloved Democrat Party's billionaires?

ANSWER, Christiecrite!

They mention them to ask about your hypocrisy. Republicans rarely care about billionaires, they care about the party that wants to punish billionaires hungrily accepting their money.

Do repubs care about billionaires in politics?

Find one and ask 'em.

You think Dems aren't capitalists, right?

Did I say that?

I don't recall having expressed that opinion.

Dance.

What makes those three tracks iconic? They all posses unique features unlike the normal horse racing tracks, and what makes Saratoga stand out is that most tracks even Keeneland are modeled after Victorian race tracks, Saratoga is a Victorian race track, and it is locate in a Victorian city.
