Everyone understands that Socialism is not Communism, right?

How does socialism differ from communism? Be specific and detailed.
1. The Means of Production

Socialism: Major industries (like healthcare, energy, and transportation) are collectively owned and managed by the state or the public, while individuals can still own private property, homes, and small businesses.

Communism: All private property and means of production are eliminated. Everything is owned by the community as a whole, and resources are distributed by a central authority based strictly on individual need.

2. Compensation and Wealth

Socialism: Citizens are compensated based on their individual contributions and the level of effort they put into the economy.

Communism: Governed by the principle: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs," compensation is not based on individual output but on what a person requires to survive and thrive.

3. Political Transition and Strategy

Socialism: Socialism operates on a flexible, often democratic framework. Socialists believe in achieving economic equality through gradual reform, high taxation on the wealthy, and robust social welfare programs (such as the Nordic model).

Communism: Communists believe that a violent, working-class revolution is necessary to overthrow capitalism. The ultimate goal is the dismantling of the state apparatus entirely, resulting in a completely classless, stateless society.

This should be good....

You will have to do something magats hate and just read it...

Communism is a political and economic system that seeks to create a classless society in which the major means of production, such as mines and factories, are owned and controlled by the public. There is no government or private property or currency, and the wealth is divided among citizens equally or according to individual need. Many of communism’s tenets derive from the works of German revolutionary Karl Marx, who (with Friedrich Engels) wrote The Communist Manifesto (1848).

Socialism does not look to have no government, nor exclude private property or currency. Socialism does focus on aggressive redistribution and an aggressive Nanny State which communism would not tolerate.

And "Democratic Socialism" is neither of the above.

Democratic Socialism is simply Democracy with a left bent towards greater redistribution to the working class whereas the right bent of Democracy is towards all the money flowing up to corporations and oligarchs. They are mostly just plays on the tax regime and who benefits.
