Everyone understands that Socialism is not Communism, right?

Bottom line: Right now, under relatively unchecked capitalism, the top 1% of families own one-third of the total wealth of our nation; the top 10% of families own two-thirds of the total wealth of our nation; and the bottom 50% of families own about 2 1/2 % of the total wealth of our nation. And for the last 5 or 6 decades, the disparity has been steadily getting worse.
Argument from randU fallacies.

Capitalism is self regulating. It needs no 'checks' from government or anything else.
'Checks' from government is socialism. Marxism has never worked.

Anyone who cannot see that for the disgusting/dangerous situation it is...doesn't deserve to be a participant in a discussion of this topic. Something has to be done to divert our economy from the track it is presently on. If capitalism cannot do it then some other form of economic means will have to take its place. I hope it is never communism or socialism to the exclusion of capitalism and free enterprise...BUT SOMETING HAS TO BE DONE.
Capitalism is the only system that creates wealth. It is the only system where the poor can help themselves out of poverty.

Socialism only steals wealth. Socialism keeps the poor in poverty and adds more poor.

Yes, if Communism is the goal, a good place to start is socialism, even if you disagree with Marx on his method, Socialism can be a stand alone system. History has shown that a fully socialist nation does not work well.

My own philosophy (I can only speak for myself) is that the greatest nations in the modern world are the ones who can keep a healthy Ballance creating some elements of the system as socialism would, while allowing Capitalism to do what it does with others. So, Capitalism is not evil unless you allow it to run rampant with no checks, and the same with Socialism. This is how America worked in the 1900's. Twenty-six years into the 2000's the fight between the two continues. Extremism on either side is the evil.

What Trump (and others before him, to a different extent) is trying to do is polarize the issue into extremism, as if Pure Capitalism is the Goal, and the other side Pure Socialism as the evil. The Democratic Socialists seem to generally be the mirror of Trump. The current Democratic Party might have some elements of extremism, but those elected generally embrace the balance. The Republican Party pre-Trump, also embraced the ballance. Since Trump hijacked the party, he is casting anything with Government control (other than social issues) as evil.

I would argue his use of the Government to advance his agenda, pushing the FCC to be pro-Trump, using the Justice Department to prosecute his enemies, and Personally suing the Government... while in the position to also represent the Government's defense, are examples of 'Bad Socialism', but they are widely supported by the Republican party.

I personally believe the system in some areas is unbalanced, resulting in the wealthy having to much power over the government and the class structure, and keeping the poorest on the edge of forced servitude without advancement opportunities. What good is Liberty if you are so poor you have no opportunity to use it. But I do understand the position on the other side, that we need more Capitalism, because Capitalism is efficient and is the best system for pushing technology and creating wealth.
Socialism has never worked, Pretender.
It only brings misery and tyranny.

The military is not a market, Pretender.

I am sure it is the Goal of some random people, much like a return of Naziism is the goal of some people, but that is not the platform of the American Democratic Socialist party
Yes it is, Pretender.
anymore than a skinhead at 1/6 promoting an insurrection is the goal of the Republican Party.
You can't blame Democrat actions on Republicans,Pretender.
You have to be smarter than taking sone statement from one fairly powerless person in a party and claiming it is the goal of the entire party. If that were valid argument I could post racist shit Trumppers say all day long as proof that Trumppers are racist. That is simply silly.
You can't blame your racism on Trump either.

Hey, moron.

If the way capitalism has to work is to go from $7.50 to over $20,000...that is an indictment of capitalism...not socialism.
Nope. Socialism. In this case, communism.
As for competing with you, if you mean intellectually, I will leave you in your own dust every time. You are a pathetic advocate for whatever your cause is.
You don't even know his cause, but you disparage it anyway??

I can't help it if you believe something different about me than what I express, that comes from you, not me.
No, Pretender. It comes from you. YOU are responsible for your own posts.
The United States, has for a Century, balanced these oppositional ideologies to create the Greatest Economic superpower the world has seen. I do not know the exact percentages of each system is optimal, but I can observe that we have bounced along the sweet spot for a century.
Not a 'balance', Pretender. You cannot justify your socialism.
If we are in a ponzi scheme, it sure is taking a long time to melt down.

Tell me, do you believe in pure unabashed Capitalism? If not, what should we do to moderate it?
Capitalism is not 'moderated'. Capitalism is not socialism.

Some do take longer than others, but rowing slowly to the waterfall doesn't change the destination.

Or, we are comfortably floating in the calm water between two waterfalls, never getting sucked all the way into either.

Do you believe we should have a purely Capitalist system, almost no government?

Private roads, private fire departments, private hospitals? 0 building codes, no health or safety standards for food? No food regulations? No court to enforce contracts?

AI is not a psychoanalyst, holy oracle, or worth substituting your brain for, Dio.
You can ask AI the same exact question, phrased a little bit differently, and get completely different answers. I'll even call it out and argue with it, and often times it will admit it was wrong.

1. The Means of Production

Socialism: Major industries (like healthcare, energy, and transportation) are collectively owned and managed by the state or the public, while individuals can still own private property, homes, and small businesses.

Communism: All private property and means of production are eliminated. Everything is owned by the community as a whole, and resources are distributed by a central authority based strictly on individual need.

2. Compensation and Wealth

Socialism: Citizens are compensated based on their individual contributions and the level of effort they put into the economy.

Communism: Governed by the principle: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs," compensation is not based on individual output but on what a person requires to survive and thrive.

3. Political Transition and Strategy

Socialism: Socialism operates on a flexible, often democratic framework. Socialists believe in achieving economic equality through gradual reform, high taxation on the wealthy, and robust social welfare programs (such as the Nordic model).

Communism: Communists believe that a violent, working-class revolution is necessary to overthrow capitalism. The ultimate goal is the dismantling of the state apparatus entirely, resulting in a completely classless, stateless society.
Completely madeup bullshit.

Please quote Rousseau saying any of your leftists nonsense.

You clearly have never read either of them.

Go to chapter 7 "The Lawgiver" , in "The Social Contract", then explain the "democratic flexible network" you pulled out of your ass.

You don't know what the fuck you are babbling about, per usual, and your leftidiot "Cliff's Notes" bullshit exposes that beyond a shadow of a doubt,

Do you understand that the Trump Maga agenda part that was America First and not focused on immigration and borders was basically a Democratic Socialist agenda (ie Populist), mostly cribbed from Bernie Sanders?

That what Maga was clamoring for and excited for was a slight tweak to Bernie's populist agenda with an addition of border security?

if you listen to Steve Bannon and Tucker Carlson they still believe the path to future wins for the right is the Populist democratic Socialist messaging. They recognize voters on both the populist right and left make up the biggest voting block. They just would not implement any of it after winning.

You have to back this one up.

QPeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,
More stupid comments from you.
Trump's first focus was on the border, which, I might add, he fixed within two weeks of taking office.

Now your heroes are Steve Bannon and Bernie Sanders?
