It is mostly a decline in work ethic among young men with low paying jobs, and enough money they do not need those low paying jobs. It is hard to say whether the problem is the low paying jobs pay less than before, whether the idea that middle class young men would have enough money to support themselves is relatively new, or whether it is the video games.

Medical doctors are not missing work to play video games. Immigrants are not missing work to play video games.

A definite decline in work ethic. They all expect to step right into a $100k a yr. job. Many good productive Americans never made it that far in their lifetimes, and are far more knowledgeable. That is a fact.
And intelligence. Ask one to count change at a check out without looking at the cash register (while on their cell phone).
And then there's those who cannot speak English. What can they do but bleed our government dry?
