More Americans are having a harder time keeping up with their home and car payments

The real moral of the story is this.......You cant spend what you don't have. You cant plan your payments around money you might have,....you have to be more long range than that. You plan your payments around unforeseen outcomes that MAY happen to you in the future. You plan for worse case scenario instead. If you cant make that payment in a worse case scenario then dont borrow the money. Too many people plan their financial futures around best case as if the party is never going to end. That's stupid.

Trumpomics at work

More Americans are falling even further behind on their home and car loans than at any time in the past decade, new data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York showed Tuesday.

A greater share of people went at least 30 days late on their mortgage payments in the second quarter of this year than in any quarter since 2015, according to the New York Fed’s latest Quarterly Report on Household Debt and Credit. More also went into serious delinquency – or 90 days late or more – on their car payments during the same time period than at any quarter since 2010.

One of our JPP MAGATs has been telling us since the day after the election in 2024 that inflation is gone, everything's fine, you should use coupons. But now has fallen silent. Seems even the most ardent Trump-sucker has given up!

My own best interest would be that if given $1000 I'd find a way to invest it and make that money back and then some rather than spend it on some frivolous luxury item I really didn't need. Stupid, poor people spend on stuff they don't need but want and can't afford.
Your reply clearly demonstrates that your nativity has blinded you to the real problem.

Oh yeah,....I'm REALLY sobbing. You can sure tell by the way I POSTED AND STARTED this thread about people falling behind on payments. Oh wait! No,...I WASNT the one who posted it ,...yet another aggrieved always whining LW did....

Poor Stoney Baloney, just can't see beyond his nose.

Stoney Baloney just doesn't understand the difference between discretionary spending, and what is required for sustenance.

More than the fucking parasites deserve.

No one engaged in actual work that has value to society's basic needs is having issues paying the rent. Not a single one of them. It's the people who can't pay back the student loans for the jobs they fantasized were essential who are hurting. Bummer.

You people are whacked.
It is nice to see what you think of all these Red States (15 of 19 below) and their employees, where Walmart is the largest employer (Amazon warehouses catching up) and those workers are devastated by this and even more so as Trump takes away other benefits they rely upon such as Snap and Medicaid.

Research from 24/7 Wall St. and analyzed by organizations like Quartz identifies Walmart as the largest private-sector employer in 19 states. These states include Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming. For more details, visit 24/7 Wall St.. [1, 2, 3]

Maybe much like myself he doesn't believe in sponging off of others work,
When the gov't "Gives the RIch Man" money they ensure they do so in a tax free or tax reduced manner. That money is unlikely to be spent in the economy and instead is likely to put in shielded investments to just sit and compound to the benefit of that person only.

When the gov't "gives a Poor Man" money it is far more likely to be taxed but also spent on immediate needs like paying down debt or other family needs which benefit the economy.

Exactly.

you have a cartoon like understanding of people which leads you to say so many stupid things.

THere are stupid people in every segment of society who would get a cash windfall and waste it by buying frivolous things but in your stupidity you make statements as if that is the vast majority of the working poor.

Groceries now cost more than rent in six US cities

Unexpected budget twist: In six U.S. cities, grocery costs for a family of four now exceed monthly rent, reversing the usual expense hierarchy.

Midwest concentration: Most of the affected cities are in the Midwest, where low rents combine with elevated food prices to create this cost inversion.

Inflation's lingering bite: Even with slowing inflation, food prices remain high, pushing households to adjust spending and seek cheaper alternatives.

Why do the insane irrational left on this forum constantly do this? It's a pattern with you goons.

You say something and they reply "in other words" or "you mean" something totally fucking loony that you didn't say or even imply.

You people are fucking whacked. Unwell in the brains. You fancy yourselves to be so smart but you're so stupid. Get help.

I do know that right before he took the job chasing Bed bugs he was scrubbing toilets part time at a motel 6 in Seattle but he didn't last long there either.
Sounds to me that you don't know what you're talking about.

The situation with Iran was gotten into long before Trump ran for office. He just has the balls to address it.
he did not have the "balls" to address it during his campaign and said the opposite declaring he WOULD NOT BE the Potus to get the US into more wars and that was Kamala who would.

Why was Trump such a coward in his campaign? Why did you lie to his supporters only to find his "balls" after being elected?

I suppose you think that welfare, in whatever form, grows the economy too.
