Average teacher salaries are already higher than average worker salaries. The problem you have is trying to defend paying more when Japan spends less and is safer.

I dont give a shit. The average teacher has a higher salary than average workers in America. And you STILL have the problem of Japan spending less on education and its safer.It says underpaid.

Up here in the Frozen North, we have trust stalls selling firewood along the highway. I know of two of them between us and the next little town.

Small coastal towns and rural areas, you are right. I get what you mean though. As a boy I remember seeing homemade pies on stands in Boston using the honor system. That is all gone. Society in many ways has taken a wrong turn.
