As Tariffs are paid back by the government corporate profits surge. Somehow the Trump admin IS NOT paying the taxes back, as ordered by the SC to China and the other countries he said paid all of them and instead he is sending them to US corporations as if their customers paid ALL OF THEM.

And if you think they will use these to lower prices instead of just juicing profits, please DM as i have a bridge to sell you.

Tariff Refunds Contribute To Record-Setting Corporate Profit Boost

Key Takeaways

  • U.S. corporations earned record profits in the second quarter.
  • Tariff refunds may be skewing economic data, making the U.S. corporate sector seem more profitable than it really is.
  • Companies are also raising prices without raising wages for their workforces, further contributing to the profit boom.
--------

Here's what companies like Walmart and Amazon say they're doing with their tariff refunds

Some are lowering prices, while others are using the money to offset costs.

..."And there isn’t really a legal obligation to reduce prices, if costs decrease later, in our free market,” said Jonathan Shub, co-founder of the class-action law firm Shub Johns & Holbrook LLP, in a Marketplace interview earlier this year....

A tariff is a tax imposed by a government on imported goods to raise revenue, protect domestic industries, or influence trade behavior.
tariff is a tax levied on goods as they cross national borders, usually by the importing country, and is typically paid by the importer when the goods enter the country
. While tariffs primarily target imports, export tariffs can also exist, though they are less common

. The main purposes of tariffs are:

Revenue generation: Governments collect tariffs as a source of income.
Protectionism: Tariffs make imported goods more expensive, encouraging consumers to buy domestic products and shielding local industries from foreign competition.
Trade policy tool: Tariffs can be used politically to influence other countries’ trade practices or negotiate trade agreements

its a tariff.

calling it a tax is just propaganda.

its more specific than that with a different purpose all together.

its function is to spur domestic growth IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR.

your making it seem like socialism by calling it a tax.

you people know what you're doing with your propaganda.

stop it, dummy.

you're not good enough to pull it off.

the truth is real.

propaganda is of limited value.

why are you a globalist idiot?

Well the definition of a tariff says it is a tax.
So I say it is a tax.
and most are passed on to the consumer.

Well I posted the Definition and it says it is a tax do you have one that says it isn't?
And I already have a woman why would I want another one?
It is a tax. It is solely a few dimwitted magat morons who say otherwise.

A tax is any mandatory fee or financial charge levied by a government on individuals, businesses, or property and the money is taken in and used for varied gov't reasons.

What the idiot @Jerry Mathers is saying is 'it is a different type of tax and thus not a tax', which then applies to 'income tax', 'property tax' and all other taxes as they are different from each other too. But ALL are taxes.
