Why should all morals be true every time in history and around the world?
Absolutists. Christians and most religions.Who says they must be, or must have been?
Absolutists. Christians and most religions.
You spend your entire day on grok and you still don't know how to get information?!Can you be more specific? Maybe cite some original sources?
They shouldn't be.Why should all morals be true every time in history and around the world?
So you disagree with Kant. So do I.They shouldn't be.
I would lie to Nazis if they asked me if I knew where Jews were hiding, and I did in fact know.

What are the objections? Why should all morals be true every time in history and around the world?
You do less harm to humanity and your conscience blatantly lying to Nazis than you would do by leading them to the hiding places of JewsSo you disagree with Kant. So do I.

No. Moral relativism is the worldview that cheating and lying are not objectively and absolutely wrong. It has nothing to do with whether you are justified in misleading mass murders in order to save innocent lives. Then your morality is relative.
But you could have already informed yourself with grok. Clearly you are a troll.I didn't start the thread or post this:
Absolutists think a God or transcendent reality governs morality. They are part of the instinctual machinery of social animals. Which is why the large stuff like "murder" is wrong across societies but not the smaller stuff (like personal space etc.)
It is also why murder is not considered wrong when another animal does it.
The only people who fear "relative" morality are those who have decided that morality is magical and from beyond space and time (no evidence for that, but plenty of evidence for social animals developing modes of behavior that are acceptable and unacceptable).
If you believe God is the reason why murder is wrong then you are threatened whenever someone suggests God doesn't necessarily exist.
Example by Kant of the murderer at the door. You do less harm to humanity and your conscience blatantly lying to Nazis than you would do by leading them to the hiding places of Jews
Good assessment. Then your morality is relative. You just prioritize one moral behavior over another based on the situation.
If morality were absolute then lying would be wrong not matter what.
But you just refuted that in deciding it is moral to lie sometimes.No. Moral relativism is the worldview that cheating and lying are not objectively and absolutely wrong
It is exactly that.It has nothing to do with whether you are justified in misleading mass murders in order to save innocent lives.
But you could have already informed yourself with grok. Clearly you are a troll.
I gave it in the original post. You should have told me you did not understand it and I would have helped you.Because I asked you for examples of your own position?
