What good has come out of the Clancy trial?

I'm not saying a woman's place doesn't have equal value to humanity as a man's but they are different and certain things are best left to the gender designed for it. Women are not designed to make rational important decisions. Their brains aren't wired for it. The Clancy jurors are just the latest proof.
Men voted for Hitler, didn't they?

Filicide: a comparative study of maternal versus paternal child homicide

Background: Filicide is the murder of a child by a parent. Historically, filicide was regarded as a female crime, but nowadays, in the West, men have become increasingly likely to be convicted of killing their child. Previous research on filicide has primarily focussed on either maternal or paternal filicide rather than comparing the two.

Key Postpartum Depression Statistics

  • 11.9% of mothers in the United States report symptoms of postpartum depression — about 1 in 8.
  • Based on roughly 3.6 million annual births, that is more than 430,000 mothers a year.

I wonder how many of those women killed their kids?

We got to see Gayle's racism on full display, as she had to take a break to recalibrate her feelings about the holdout juror after she found out that he was black.
What I loved to was how some of the other jurors were upset with the holdout juror saying, he just couldnt seem to get past the fact that clancy killed her kids. Imagine that evil bastard not being able to get past killing 3 innocent children.

There's postpartum, and then there's "I think about hurting myself", and then there's "I think about hurting my kids".

1 means "get therapy, ASAP", 2 means "24-hr supervision, either by a family member or in an institution", and 3 is "only supervised access to the children, period, until further notice".

I think the story a tragedy, I hope that there is a LOT learned from it so that maybe future tragedies can be averted, and I'm not gonna chime in on either side for this specific case because I don't have enough information.

You dont have enough info? The woman killed her three children. If they find her not responsible or whatever they call it that fucked up shit hole, she will be remanded to a mental hospital and after just 6 months she will be re-evaluated to see if she should be released. If not then every tear thereafter they will decide again whether she can be released. Do you think thats justice?

IMO it's a total failure of the system.

She couldn't have possibly done more to try to prevent this from happening. She saw enough Drs, enough mental health professionals, told enough family members...

If I had my way, she would be in jail for sure, along with no less than 5 other people.

Heads need to start rolling or more kids will end up like hers.
