Renee Good's family sues Trump administration over fatal Minneapolis shooting

It seems it's you that is the dummy. Standing next to the front fender is not in front of the vehicle. Standing next to the front wheel is not in front of the vehicle.
But the fact that you simply ignore simple science to keep to your delusions says a lot about you.
He wasn't standing next to the front wheel or the fender when the driver tried to run him over, Poorboy. It is YOU ignoring physics, geometry, history, and the law.

there can be no self defense claim unless there is a criminal trial. For there to be a criminal trial, a judge would have to find that the officer/agent in question either set himself up on purpose in that position OR that no reasonable officer would consider themselves in danger during that rapidly evolving situation. Whatever civil lawsuit claims that the family is pursuing is going to be dismissed because of qualified immunity. This is a waste of time and clearly shows that most of you know little to nothing about how the law and the injustice system works.
Two lawsuits were filed -

They are suing the US government for the actions of it's employees. You might want to research the actual lawsuit before you make yourself look foolish when you critique other about knowing nothing about how the law and justice system work.
Defendant United States of America, acting through DHS and its components
ICE and CBP, is the proper defendant for claims brought under the FTCA. 28 U.S.C. §§
1346(b), 2679.

The second lawsuit is filed against multiple individuals in a conspiracy to violate civil rights.

Qualified immunity is not a defense in either lawsuit.

My bet is they try to settle so they don't have to go through discovery which would likely reveal the coverup and how they hid evidence from state investigators.
Hid evidence???

There is video. It even has sound. There are hospital records. There are forensic records. There are photos of the aftermath. All of them are published.

You just want to discard it all. You cannot make any evidence just disappear, Poorboy.

If I were the fed defending this, I'd put everything I could out on front street, the more graphic and detailed, the better. Let Good's family sit through all the gory details. Go frame by frame through the video. Show how she created the entire situation and lay out her criminal actions. Make the plaintiffs explain why their daughter was even there and why she was disobeying law enforcement and acting criminally.

Let them explain all that to the jury. Portray it as Good being an asshole Leftist doing illegal protest shit while the ICE agents were just trying to do their job while she taunted and hassled them. It's a civil case, so it should be easy to present all that and more showing just how Good created the situation then panicked and ended up shot because of it.
I'm fine with that. Let them attack the victim instead of defending their actions. It will only enforce how wrong the government is.

The 'victim(s)' were the ICE officers. It was Good who chose to interact, criminally, with them. They didn't choose to interact with her. She set up the situation. It was her criminal acts that led to the eventual outcome. The "government" didn't set out to find Good or interact with her. Good set out to find the ICE officers then interact with them. When her 'fun and games' protest turned into a potential arrest, she tried to flee rather than accept responsibility for her actions. It was her irresponsible and ill-considered actions that led to her death. She is 100% to blame here for what happened.

I'm fine with that.
You are NOT fine with that. That much is evident.
You want to deny and discard evidence.
You want that evidence to just somehow disappear and replace it with your narrative fiction.
Let them attack the victim
I defend ICE, Poorboy. I defend that officer shooting in self defense and to stop a fleeing felon.
instead of defending their actions. It will only enforce how wrong the government is.
I already know you hate the Constitution of the United States.

Congratulations. You just destroyed your entire argument that he was in front of the car when he fired. Not being in front of the car proves he was not in danger of being run over at the time he fired. I rest my case because you have just agreed with the facts I presented.
By acknowledging that he shot her in self-defence, you just blew up your own argument, dummy.

ROFLMAO. Please.. Try to tell the jury that.. Go for it.

They could have avoided her. All they needed to do was drive around her like Ross did before he stopped blocking traffic.
